more werewolf fic--chapters 3 & 4

Here are the next two chapters! There may be a short break, since I'm leaving for England on Monday...but we're about half done, I think. Have some hurt/comfort, and cuddling.

Finally had the time to read it and OMG why did I have to wait so long!
It's funny and cute and adorable and everything. I love Erik in wolf-form :)

Wolf!Erik really is irresistibly cute, though he'd deny the fact to his last breath. Charles, however, would emphatically agree.

Glad you're liking so far--it's my first actual AU for them, so I'm hoping they still sound like themselves! More soon, now that I am back from England and have my laptop again. Also more timely editing for your fic (which, yay, writing!), I promise! No conference things until next month. :-)

Oh, of course he did! Probably held pieces up and said, "Ask?" and then started laughing at the indignant look on Erik's face, and then gave him a whole half.

Oh my, oh dear. Charles baby, stay focused. We all know how difficult it may be, to be this close to someone this attractive as Erik. Ahem!
I love this fic, everything about it, the way they spend their days together, their morning routine, Erik being Erik and Charles being Charles and that alone means so much, since it's AU aaaaaand I got carried away, again -the point was: I am not a big fan of werewolf stories, at all. Like, at all. But seeing how brilliantly this story's written, I just can't resist! I need more! Moreeee!

Poor Charles. Life with Erik is...hard. *grin* Of course, Erik's already been having a similar problem...but at least by chapter eight they get to be human together. Enjoyably so!

I am happy you like, even as someone who's not a werewolf-story fan! That's actually such a great compliment, when a story isn't a reader's preference but ends up being compelling anyway... *smiles* I think this one works, maybe, because the love story isn't about 'look Erik's a wolf!!'; it's about Erik and Charles still being themselves, just translated into a different situation, and it's a love that doesn't rely on physical form. Not that the physical forms won't be appreciated, once we get to that chapter eight!

Chapter five is up now; in chapter six, we get wolf!Erik saving Charles's life...*tantalizes*

You're most welcome, dearest. I have to confess though, if it weren't you writing the story - 99.9% chance that I would not read a werewolf story. I can't explain why, really, but there is something about werewolf/vampire stories that works like a repellent for me... I guess some badly-written stories left a rather powerful impact in the past.

There ARE a lot of badly-written stories along those lines, out there. Because it's trendy, I suspect. But I really couldn't resist this story, for that challenge. It's medieval, and (all but explicitly) a gay love story, and I could see them in those roles so clearly...

And before that, we get telepathic first kisses! So they're all happy--right before Shaw someone attempts to kill Charles, and nearly succeeds...
