Last night I got a burst of inspiration for #2 and just started writing. Hit about 600 words and the edge of the fight. It's been tricky to write because it's primarily Michael's POV and I don't write that enough so I was trying to make sure I was getting his voice right, especially in the situation he was in. And I was also having tiny problems with tenses. I couldn't seem to keep them straight. That's what editing for.

Hooray for inspiration! I can sympathize about the POV--for the longest time I couldn't really write James or Charles POV things. It's hard, when you're used to writing primarily in one 'voice', to cross over easily, I think.
Ah, tenses. I usually don't have trouble if I sit down and write in a single draft, but sometimes if I haven't worked on a story for a while it's harder. But, yep, that's why we edit! Second reads, third reads, and sometimes still catching things after posting...
(Today I totally wrote & posted Erik/Charles again. It was about time!)

I like that you haven't made things 100% perfect, because they have history and its not a pleasant one but they're both TRYING and care about each other so much, and thats what counts.
I just want to squish them together! al;skadl;ksad /keysmash

They (and we) needed some wonderful, I suspect!

Yes, and yes! I think it wouldn't work, realistically, if they got over everything instantly and were Perfectly All At Once In Love. They DO have a history, and there are some less than good memories...but they both have genuinely changed since then, and they've made a conscious choice to try again. Because they are the most important people in the world, to each other. And that love CAN outweigh all the bad; they're choosing to believe that, too.
Final part either tomorrow or the next day, depending on how fast I write! And there may be an epilogue, now, too...

As always, glad you liked, my dear! *hugs* How've you been?

And I just love Michael being completely cool with the assumptions and inferences from the journalists! If only he could have realised how much of a NOT-big-deal it is earlier, silly man!
No one quite has the nerve to ask the question, possibly because Michael smiling can be rather intimidating
Ha ha, so very true! I mean, I adore that smile, but objectively I can see that it could be rather scary to have all those teeth directed at you! *g*
“Don’t argue, James, you have no idea how much you’re worth, to me”This just completely melted my heart... *happy sigh ( ... )

They are every kind of adorable. And James still needs all the hugs. I think that reaction makes sense, though--he's been so hurt by everything, and he knows how he feels, and he wants to say it, but can't...quite...yet. But that's coming, too.
I am SO glad you liked the autograph moment! That was actually one of the last scenes I wrote--chapter 13 was less complete, when I started it, than chapter 15 was/is--and I wanted something that would be...James demonstrating how much he wants Michael, not necessarily sexually yet, but as his, as his other half. And Michael does seem to understand it that way. And also, of course, it's an oddly intimate and sensuous gesture, isn't it...?
And I just love Michael being completely cool with the assumptions and inferences from the journalists! ...I feel like, at this point, he's just so relieved and happy to have James safe and here and wanting him around, that everything else is a secondary concern. No room left, to freak out about that. He ( ... )

Surprisingly so, when you consider how often we generally tend to scribble notes on our hands ourselves - but it becomes a whole different ball game in this context (never really been one for that 'writing on the body' kink, but I think I may just have become a fan!)
They needed that sort of...normality, I suppose is the word. They can be a real couple and do couple-y things, not just react to crises! :-)
This is an important thing to prove - relationships can't just be about the extreme highs and extreme lows, you need to know you can just be with the other person...
Part 15...well, they're going to try to have sex again at some point, right...? *hints*
I admit, I was kind of hoping we were headed in that direction! ;)

*laughs* I know, I never was either, and then this scene just turned up, and somehow...that's...kind of delicious. Tangible inscriptions, the intimacy of placing your name on someone else's body, ink over skin...
relationships can't just be about the extreme highs and extreme lows, you need to know you can just be with the other person...Exactly! If you're in it for the long term, there WILL be far more mundane or ordinary days than dramatic and exciting ones (though of course the boys, both being actors, have their share of exciting), and it's about living with someone, not battling the extremes ( ... )
