I totally adore the way this swings from cracky goodness to something sweet and poignant and then right back again (cheerful mountain, LOL!) - bravo!

Thanks, on behalf of, er, both of us? :-p

Clearly I cannot write anything, even when it's meant to be crack, without ALL THE EMOTIONS EVER, so, thank heavens for wonderful co-authors who balance me out with much-needed fun things. Like gift baskets. And custom-made soap. :-)

I think it balanced nicely. I write the crack, you write the feelings. LOL

And then you make me write shower-sex scenes. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. :D

I think cracky and sweet are exactly what we were going for! :D And we made you laugh, so. Success! :D

Cracky is good! I like cracky! There's either angst or fluff with these two. It's nice to have some crack once in a while. :D

So you liked, then? :-) Also agreed on the need for more random glee--we totally had fun with this one, too. :D

Very much liked. I'd write more stuff for them, especially some cracky stuff, if I didn't have a long ass list of McFassy fics to work on.

Hahahha this story is amazing. Exploding tropical fruit? HOW did you come up with this brilliance?!

Magneto decides, arbitrarily, to skip the next chorus-hell, he is the Master of Magnetism, so he can do what he damn well pleases.

I love the way you guys interweave crack and angst to make the smallest things both amusing and poignant, like here, where Magneto's assertion of control over the song highlights the fact that he's never been able to control the love the song is about (and a perfect song choice for that sentiment, imo!).

You-was that for me? The song, I mean? Charles sounds a little hesitant, a fact for which Erik instantly hates himself. Charles should never have cause to doubt how Erik feels about him. Even when everything else has changed, that much hasn't, at least.

Of course it was for you. You and your damn pina coladas. He's not really commenting on the drinks. They both know that much. Oh boys. Oh BOYS. These two and everything they aren't saying. This whole conversation totally made me sniffle and want to ( ... )

(am here on the laptop staring at my Erik/Charles sex-pollen fic and trying to resolve ALL THE EMOTIONS OH GOD)

You liked our random crack(ish) fic! *is excited* The idea was hers, as was the exploding tropical fruit; I cannot take credit for that! And this Magneto's assertion of control over the song highlights the fact that he's never been able to control the love the song is about is all kinds of amazing. I'm not certain that actually occurred to us at the time, but I love it so much that I'm going to pretend we meant that! And it IS such an Erik song. (I'm not a huge Johnny Cash fan, but I do like that one.)

This whole conversation totally made me sniffle and want to hug them (after thwacking their thick skulls together)... Aww, yay! I loved writing that bit, honestly. They have so many ISSUES to work out, and those issues AREN'T going to be fixed instantly, but...at least they're talking again. They have to start somewhere, and if that requires drunken karaoke, well, so be it. And sometimes, the sex--the intimacy of this sort ( ... )

I like some of Johnny Cash's songs -- I've actually written the start of a fic around the song "Hurt" because it's so perfect for them with all the inadequacy and loneliness and bitter regret. (it is exceedingly rare that I write happy-ending things. I love reading them, I just can never believe the ones I write myself...)

Both the awesome bits and Epic Emotional Angst were great, and the combination was pure genius! :)

...apparently I fail at formatting comments appropriately. Sheesh. :-)

Ooh, "Hurt" would be perfect for them, I agree. One of my other Erik songs is Brand New's "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot," which is absolutely painfully lovely, about the pain of knowing you've hurt someone so badly that it might never be fixed, and yet also knowing you can't ever give them up, that you'd still want to try to make things right, if they'd want you to try, if you thought you ever could.

And thanks again!! We might attempt a McFassy fic, once we both have the time. We have an idea, we just haven't really worked on it...

:-)
