Started with a prompt on the kink meme, naturally ;)

Oh, wow! you even read the hidden fics that got lost in my works index! (Badly kept secret - My favourite stuff that I've written is the stories based on myth instead of the modern canons. But not many people trawl Ao3 looking for fics of Norse/Arthurian myths!) Thank you!

Myths are love. I mean, I even wrote a crazy STXI Coyote&Wolf story. I have no idea why there aren't more. I think I need to go reread the Loki's Brood fics already, because so amazing.

My first introduction to myths were the Egyptian gods. I feel in love and never looked back.

Is it on your Ao3? I'll have to take a look at that, it sounds really interesting.

I have vague memories about the egyptian gods - read some of the stories when I was young, and got stuck on the whole Isis/Osiris/Set thing. Is there some underlying issue in human psychology that means mythological brothers will always hate each other?

I'm on a bit of a Mabinogi binge at the moment - specifically Arianrhod and Llew Llaw Gyffes. Effed up families and weird conception stories are the best. Though ancient Britain seems to have really loved its sibling incest...

Yays AUs! I have an epic AU planned where the guard DOES tell the Allfather in time to stop them from going to Jotunheimr and Loki gets banished to Midgard. But writing that scares me, so instead of working on it, I just wrote Clint snarking on Darcy's pullbox at the comics store, cos she reads Darkwing Duck.

This AU is pretty epic - thirty thousand words at least,/i>, when I come to write it. Yours sounds interesting - Watching the movie yesterday I was trying to figure out just how many things went wrong in Loki's plan right at the end (And it still worked out for him). There's the slow servant, the failed diplomacy in Laufey's throne room, and it's my headcanon that his "Good Heimdall" derp moment on the rainbow bridge was a deliberate attempt to enrage the gatekeeper into sending them right back to the Allfather - then Thor could get in trouble for almost starting a war. That's the reason for that look of fury when Volstagg teases him for it.

And, oh, Clint! You never snark on a girl's choice of comic books! You should know better...
