A yell of pain can be heard, and then silence, aside from his heavy steps as he descends the stairs of the home and swiftly armors himself in his Astartes plate without a word to anyone ( Read more... )

[It's alright. Klaus is a man used to fighting monsters and, if his reaction to the fight with the bear all that time ago is any indication, he'll probably enjoy this. After all, his brilliant counter-testing plan failed. Hiccup is droned. Frankly, he's been feeling terrible for days and a good old-fashioned beatdown might help, regardless of who wins.

Of course, he's never really fought an enemy quite like this. The closest he can think of is Vapnoople's man/wolf hybrid supersoldiers: huge, hulking beasts with reflexes and senses far more advanced than any human's and an unshakable loyalty to their creator. And those... well. It took a lot more than fists to bring those down.

He manages to block the punch to his jaw by grabbing the incoming fist -- not the best idea, perhaps, but he can absorb more force than most. That's why the blow to his chest, which he doesn't manage to block, only knocks him back a few dozen feet rather than through a nearby tree. He knows that he can't possibly hope to do any damage through that suit -- ( ... )

[Klaus looks down at the chainsword with an expression perhaps more impassive than one would expect in this sort of situation. Then he looks up at Garviel. Yield? Oh no. Klaus Wulfenbach does not yield.]

I wonder... is this strong enough to cut through your armor?

[Clearly there's only one way to find out. He grips the chainsword with both hands, ignoring the instant searing pain in order to slam it back towards Garviel's body with all his strength behind it. FOR SCIENCE!]

[ It is! The adamantine teeth tear at Klaus' hand, but when reversed also bite deep into Garviel's chest, unleashing torrent of sparks and some drops of vitae as it actually cuts through it, somewhat. Until Garviel exerts his strength again, forcing the blade back.... and drives a brutal side kick towards Klaus that may very well sending him tumbling back off lookout point. ]

[It does knock him off the point, but that's okay. Science happened and it was glorious. Why, he only slightly mutilated his hands to do it!

Though he'll have to retrieve his sword tomorrow, unless Garviel has the good manners to throw it down after him.]

[ Garviel tosses the sword off the cliff as well, a moment later ]

I.... am... justice.

[ He snarls, before departing the scene.]
