[N likes the park, even if getting there balanced on a crutch is a little bit of a chore. He hesitates to approach for a moment, but eventually does, not speaking, only shifting around to sit on the grass next to Garviel. The cat following him curls up on the grass, stretching out on his back at N's side.]

[Garviel looks slowly to N, and his Cat. He is silent for the moment. The only sound the dull hum of his armor's servomotors.]

[N is surprisingly comfortable with the quiet for a rather long time; he hadn't initially come to talk about anything, just rest his hand on Purrloin's chest and feel the breeze. It was preferable to the town; this is still artificial, but it's more comforting.]

...Did you kill anyone?

[The question is asked without judgment. He'd have killed, had he the chance to.]

[It was late--later than Lancer was usually out. But because of the way some things seemed to be unfolding in the town, the knight found that sleep wouldn't come easily to him. Damned worthless human body.]

...Garviel?

[He'd come to the park alone, without even a weapon in sight. Now that he could summon his Noble Phantasm at will, carrying a second lance didn't always have to be a priority. And he certainly didn't expect to be attacked tonight, at any rate.]

[So much for a rematch. But damn, how troublesome--he and Garviel had apparently been close, hadn't they? It certainly seemed that way from Abel's reaction to Lancer refusing to tell anyone who had killed him.]

Just today, it would seem. I went to check on him and he was... gone. Not there anymore. Even his dog was missing. [Well, because Chizuko took it but he doesn't know that.]

And Ciel is.... gone too.

After the assigned family left for the day, I got the mail.

The letter included a picture of my sister, at an event I knew she was planning to attend.

I don't know if you have younger siblings. I just knew I had to find a way to protect her - to somehow keep her from being brought here.

I'm... not proud that I actually considered following orders. It goes against what I was taught. I'm lucky that Ema was able to talk me through it.

Then, I couldn't even protect her from being killed by someone else.

I went to go talk to my target. I was not going to try and fight him...anyways, I just wanted to make sure he was taking care of himself.

Got jumped on my way back by that stupid bitch with handle bars she calls hair. [Ken's voice tenses while talking about Juri]. She shot me after the fight got sorta broken up by this dude Lancer and this huge ass guy. He wasn't as big as you but damn...
