Side note: There's a way to friends lock a community all together so you don't have to worry about people randomly forgetting to! I don't remember how to offhand, but I know there's a way.

If I have the post in this community f-locked but have it linked back to a post in my journal that isn't locked - does that matter? :)

Locking Lunatunes & Admin Posts taverymate August 29 2006, 15:31:27 UTC
For those folks who are casual readers of Lunatunes, or just haven't yet joined the community, perhaps you should leave this Admin post unlocked so that they can see there has been a change? Otherwise, all they can tell is that there is a sudden drop in the number of visible posts. And it's fairly frequent for people to check their LJ friends list without logging into LJ; again, those people won't know that there's been a change in Lunatunes since the Admin post itself is currently locked. Your previous post about the possibility of locking and the poll is unlocked, but this particular admin post is not.

Also, the Lunatunes profile needs to be updated to reflect the fact that the community is now friends-locked.

Do hope the change makes you feel a little more at ease. Lunatunes is a lovely community, and it would a sad thing to lose it to RIAA interference.

Most excellent point, and sorry I didn't do that earlier.
