Tags While Jamie and Amy worked the first hour, Chris and Alex set up a new Facebook and Twitter account; Chris also logging into the website to see what they had there. After they traded off, Amy and Jamie went back on the internet to look up local and national musical festivals; the two printing out lists and also looking up other events that they could possibly cover.
In the midst of their search, they received an e-mail from Eric, the radio station owner informing them that they were also going to be expected to do several interactive things such as starting a Rock Band competition, finding a mascot and starting live webcasts on occasion.
Amy and Jamie exchanged looks, the two jotting down the suggestions so they could share the information with Alex and Chris.
Little did they realize that Eric had also signed them up to do live broadcasts in several locations around the city and volunteered them for a few activities such as working at a soup kitchen and cleaning up a playground.
All in all, their first attempt at working the radio show together had gone well, the unedited podcasts going straight to the website as exclusive content. Before heading out, they met in the conference room so Amy and Jamie could update Alex and Chris.
“Hold that elevator,” Alex requested as Amy and Jamie were leaving, “so that wasn’t a total disaster.”
“Could have been worse,” Jamie agreed, gritting her teeth when Chris entered. “Does that format work for everyone?”
Amy shrugged, black leather jacket draped over one arm, “it couldn’t hurt to try something different, after we’re more familiar with everything, anyway.”
Chris drummed his fingers against the railing, “I can’t say I’d mind. And maybe we could all hang out or something?”
Jamie scrunched up her nose, “I’ll pass on that, thanks.”
Chris was opening his mouth to say something when the power in the building suddenly went out, leaving the four occupants in darkness. “Doesn’t look like you’ll have much of a choice now, Princess.”
Jamie sighed, slumping down against the wall, Amy mirroring her position. Nearby Alex and Chris also sat down on the floor, Alex nearly sitting on Amy while Chris nearly kicked Jamie when he sat down.
“Man, this really sucks.”
And none of them were exactly inclined to disagree.
