On Saturday, Jamie, Amy, Christy, Josh, Alex and A.J head to Long Beach for the day because despite having grown up nearby; Jamie, Amy and Christy have never really explored Long Beach to any great extent. They’ve gone there for surfing but haven’t really seen much else. So, when the suggestion is made over breakfast at a local café, the three women agree easily.
To their further surprise, Alex, Josh and A.J have planned the day.
“So, how exactly did you three plan this?” Amy questions, looking between the three guys for an explanation, “I just want to know… curiosity and whatnot.”
Alex gestures to Josh, “good ole’ Joshua here did some googling on what to do in Long Beach. And from there, the three of us planned the day.”
Josh shrugged and nodded a little, “pretty much what he said. I got a list from one of those websites, printed said list out and between the three of us; we came up with an itinerary.”
Jamie blinked, “so we’re basically playing tourist in Long Beach?”
Josh nodded in confirmation, “more or less. There’s some off-beat stuff planned but mostly touristy crap just to get the experience in.”
“And we have plans for next weekend as well,” A.J put in and grinned at the three confused women. “Sorry if that’s last minute.”
“Just a little surprised, that’s all, by this and next weekend…” Amy admitted freely, and then eyed Alex. “You’re taking this whole fake boyfriend thing awfully seriously.”
Alex crossed his arms, “after what happened yesterday? I’d rather not take any chances.”
Amy sighed a little, putting her hands on his shoulders, “I didn’t mean anything bad by that, just surprised, in a good way.” She caught him off guard by pressing her lips briefly to his. “Thank you.”
A.J quickly snapped a picture of the pair, managing to perfectly capture the look of surprise on Alex’s face. “Just capturing the moment,” he explained to them both.
Alex rolled his eyes, taking Amy’s hand in his without hesitation. Throughout the day, they go to the Aquarium, rent Hydrobikes, go on the carousel and end the day by going on a gondola ride at sunset. To Amy's surprise, Alex doesn’t try anything until they’ve returned to the apartment complex; A.J and Josh down the hall with Christy and Jamie.
He’s not hesitant when he kisses her and she doesn’t resist when his tongue pleads at the seam of her lips.
