On Monday afternoon, Amy has the distinct feeling that she’s being followed. Her suspicions started during her lunch break when she had picked up take-out from Sage Organic Vegan Bistro on Sunset and continued when she was walking through the parking lot to her car. At first, she had wanted to believe that it was Alex or Punk playing a joke but she was proven very wrong when she arrived to the apartment complex.
“Matthew,” Amy greeted frostily. “What are you doing here?”
“Wanted to see you,” he replied calmly, leaning against the gate that surrounded the apartment complex. “How are you, Amy?”
Amy arched an eyebrow, “I was having a good day until this point.”
He smiled, in what she supposed was meant to be a friendly manner. “Is that really any way to greet me?”
She crossed her arms, “you’re lucky I haven’t called for security.”
Matt held up his hands, “all I’m doing is talking to you, no harm in that, just wanted to see how you’ve been. I know you’ve been busy lately…. Seeing as how you’re so busy going out on dates with Punk.”
“How did you know about that?” Amy narrowed her eyes, “how did you know I was going to be home right now?” When he shrugged, she took a step back, “were you following me?”
“LA is a big city, easy to just get lost in the crowd.”
“You asshole,” Amy sneered, “stay away from me!”
Matt stepped closer, causing her to take another step back, “you can’t prove anything, Amy.”
“Maybe she can’t, but I can break your legs and make it look like an accident,” Tyson spoke up from behind his sister, arms crossed. “Beat it, Hardy before I beat you to a pulp.”
Not wanting to press his luck further, Matt left the two siblings, but not before informing the redhead that this wasn’t over.
“That stupid bitch,” Tyson muttered, “I thought we were done with him.”
“Apparently not,” Amy replied bitterly, “I have my leftovers from lunch but I just lost my appetite. I’ll still make you something though.”
Tyson looped a massive arm around his sister’s waist, “I can cook for myself… maybe not gourmet but I can get by. Don’t worry about me.” A beat passed, “and don’t worry about that douchebag, either. If he ever has the nerve to show up here again, I’ll rip his head off and shove it up his ass.”
Amy returned the one-armed hug, the two siblings walking into the complex together, “You’re so charming, big brother.”
“You know you love me.”
“Only because you’re family.”
“Brat.”
“Bully.”
Unseen by the two siblings, Matt watched from across the street until they disappeared from his view, of course he couldn’t see which apartment they lived in but he could at least figure out which floor, the dark haired male making a note of that before sinking back into the crowd.
