So, most of the shows I fangirl are either already finished, or they're still ongoing. I never thought I'd fall out of a still-ongoing fandom

That's pretty how much how I feel right now. "Listen, Heroes... it's not working out. You've changed. You're not the same show I fell in love with. Sometimes, it's like I don't even know you any more. You used to be so awesome, and sweet, and even made me laugh, and I really CARED about you. You went kinda distant for a while, which I could deal with, because I still felt I knew where you were coming from, but then you went kinda... schizoid? Seriously, I think you were crazy for a while.
I'm glad you got help, but I don't think we can go back to how we were, we've both changed. I've been seeing other shows, and... well, they're just better for me right now. Have you met Supernatural? It's awesome. Got some weird friends, but I think we're going to be happy together..."
"I just feel we've grown apart, like I can't even just be friends with you anymore. I have to confess that I've been having a wild and tumultuous love affair on the side with Merlin..."
LOL! I wrote an article on fandom a while back for «het tijdschrift van mij studievereniging», and somewhere had a sentence more or less like that, about how finding a new fandom is like falling in love etc.. Although it doesn't sound nearly as awesome in Dutch as it did in English. *pouts* (And they completely messed up my wonderful layout! Grr.)
Ah, Heroes... I started watching it because everyone told me it was awesome, but for some reason never really got into it (same with SPN). Well, until the S1 finale, when I got (very briefly) obsessed. But then I promptly forgot to watch most of S2 and consequently didn't understand a thing in S3. *face palm*
Hmmm... disturbing thought: Do you think falling/being in love with a fandom can prevent you from falling for a RL person? :P

But srsly, some people say it's good, some say it's bad AND IDK, everything post-S1 seems sort of MEH in comparison really.
