I really hate it when baggers at the grocery store put my food items in the same bag with cleaning products. There's this one checker at Safeway that ALWAYS does it. I thought it was a cardinal rule in the grocer industry that this a big no-no

It's commonly why I bag my own groceries. It gives the bagger a break and the things get bagged the way I want.

But, as far as I know, there isn't any law saying what you buy can't be bagged with anything else. I'm sure you can just ask the bagger politely to keep the cleaning products seperate :D
