School Fees Woes

Jun 02, 2009 20:06

Last Saturday, 30th May 2009 was one of the worse days in my university life I would ever remember. My father just announced to me that he does not have enough funds to see my through my last year in university. Since that day, several questions had gotten into my head no thanks to sis for it.

Where did my grandfather's inheritance money went to??

pls talk to a counselor at your campus; he/she would at least be able to refer you to the correct folks; and if time is an issue to look through your case; then raise it up to the school/student management.

i dunno how things work in a university. whatever it is, dun drop-out, if you can. getting back to school/study-mode is very difficult.

This.

Speak to the student affairs in your uni. Alternatively try speaking with the uh... GRC or some shit in your district

hi there

your first option is to get the financial aid from ur uni. Tell them your situation, i believe they will not let you drop out just like that.

second option, you can apply for a bank loan. give it a try. or you should see if there is any other loan option in NUS.

third, borrow from relatives? i believe since this is your last year, the amount needed should not be that much rite.

me myself has been supporting myself for 3 years in singapore. well its tough. you gotta sacrifice alot of stuffs. get more part time jobs. dun ever give up on ur study alrite. its not worth it.

i would suggest that you take more part time jobs than to convert to part time studies.

since you encounter a problem, find the solution, dun find the reason. (ur dad should have his reason)

anyway most importantly u gotta keep positive thinking alrite. life is tough but beautiful!

i have made it, so i think you will too dude!

=]

msg me if you want to share with me, and i can share mine too =]

glad that in anyway, you are going to continue studies because i think it is really important. After you grad, things will look so much better.. Must get thru this period of tough time first. Jia you!

Go for the bank loan man. Its not that hard to repay it once you graduate. And its only for one year so shouldn't be hard to get and repay.

Never give up on something halfway through. You'll feel like crap later and its something irreversible so be wise and get to the finish line.
