Summary: Snow discovers that her story has been told time and time again.

“Is this even legal?” Snow shook her head as she watched the animated characters bounce across the screen. “This is my life! And they get so many things wrong!”

“What, you don’t normally sing Opera around a wishing well? I thought that was your normal Tuesday morning activity.”

“Ha. Ha. Ha.” Snow said, popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth. “I can’t believe they don’t even mention Stealthy!”

“Like it or not, your story is thing of legend, Ma.” Emma said with a grin. “There are even more versions of the story. You’re pretty popular in the movies. And lately, they’ve even been trying to make TV shows based on your story.”

“Like that would ever work.” Snow scoffed.
“It would be better than some of the shows they have on right now. Seriously, a medical mystery show that loosely based on Sherlock Holmes? How many times can it NOT be lupus?”

“I met Sherlock Holmes once.” Snow smiled. “He was nice.” She sighed. “I just don’t understand. How come I remember watching all this stuff when I was Mary Margaret and didn’t have a problem with it, but now that I see it when I remember the Enchanted Forest, it feels like they’re personally offending me?”

“Save the being offended for our next movie.” Emma smiled. “It features the acting skills of Kristen Stewart.”

“Who?”

“You know, the girl from the Twilight movies?”

Snow wrinkled her nose. “But she can’t act.”

“I know, right?” Emma shrugged. “But at least it has the hunky guy from Thor.”

“Oooh, the really cute guy who was one of the Warriors Three?”

Emma shot her mother a look. “No, the guy who actually played Thor. With the long blonde hair and the rippling muscles?”

“The warrior with the goatee and mustache was way hotter.”

Emma rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”
Snow grabbed her laptop from the coffee table and powered it up.

“What are you doing? We still have several Snow White movies to watch!”

“I’m googling myself.”

“Now, that just sounds dirty.”

“I can’t believe your mind sometimes.” Snow shook her head. A few minutes later she exclaimed. “Oh, look at this!”

“What?”

“This…archive of our own! It’s a website where people can post their own creative stories. And they’ve even written stories about me!”

“And this is why I am glad my existence didn’t make the cut in Grimm’s fairytales. That’s fan fiction!”

“Fan Fiction?”

“It’s stories that people write about characters from books or television shows, or movies. With stuff they wanted to happen, or things that might have happened. Crossovers and different pairings and all kinds of crazy shit. You may want to turn back before your brain explodes.”

Snow examined the page closer. “There are stories of me getting together with my stepmother? I think I need to wash my brain out with bleach.”

“I warned you.” Emma sighed. “One of the kids that I lived with in foster care used to write Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan fiction back in the day. The internet is a scary, scary place. In fact, you know those 50 shades books? They started out with Twilight fan fiction.”

“Why does everything come back around to Twilight with you?” Snow sighed. The credits to the animated Disney movie were playing. “Can we watch something else? I’ve had enough creative retellings of my life for the time being.”

Emma grabbed another disc from the coffee table and held it up for Snow’s inspection. “How about the new Star Trek movie? I love this one.”
