[Like the last time his number was pulled for the draft, Ceodore is a big bundle of energetic activity. It's not all just in preparation for the fighting to come. He's trying to stay busy to avoid thinking about things like the latest experiment and his father's departure. Getting ready for tomorrow is an excellent distraction. Mostly.

[Ceodore can find Rydia at home later in the afternoon. She actually spent a good deal of her morning in the battle dome as well, though had to cut it short for the sake of the Welcome Center. Just in case the draft was longer than she thought, the summoner wanted it well-stocked and organized.

At home she's all over the place, sorting out what they need and what they don't. The latter category is getting dumped in boxes to send to the item shop later.]

So does everyone. Beating yourself up about them is pointless; what's done is done, isn't it? The only thing to do is learn from them, and keep trying.

[He nods, but doesn't look all that convinced.]

I want them to come back, so I can do better. It's selfish.

It's selfish...but it's also human. I want them back too, even though I know they're better off at home. Being without family, without the people you love...it's not easy.

[At that he looks down and nods a little.]

When I left for my trial, I just wanted to get away from them. Finally be my own person. But now...

[He's starting to finally get just how important his family is to him, high expectations or not.]

But now, you've had enough of that. You'll always need them, on some level...and they'll always need you. That's what family does, support each other.
