Drones? That's when people become funny?

If by 'funny', you mean 'unnaturally cheerful', then yes.

Lots of people are like that here. My sister here is, too! But is it really all that unnatural?

It is when nothing ever makes that smile fade.

Sometimes I just lock them away in the basement.

I've heard that isn't such a good idea...

It is fine as long as you let them go to school.

But don't they talk? I'd rather not run afoul of the powers that be.

Do you know this other vampire's name? [ Since when it comes to physical appearance, she can only think of one other person she's met that comes anywhere close to Flandre's description. ]

Something ridiculously long, but it started with Kiss-Shot.

That doesn't sound like much of a name.

One of Miss Patchouli's friends introduced Flandre and I to another vampire here. She looked older, physically, but she also had blonde hair and red eyes.

...though how someone could ever mistake her for our Flandre is beyond me.

I think we're speaking of two different people. This one spoke in a very odd manner, as if she were from a different time altogether. Very old-fashioned, very formal.

Action since lol, house? gottimedout June 29 2011, 16:18:34 UTC
I had just took them to that swimming pool yesterday to quiet them. I would assume like playing the role of stereotypical children, they would like to have some sort of attention be given to them and obey what you tell them to do.

Generally "go play with your friends outside" seems to work with me for the most part. After that, they eat, clean themselves and go to bed. A rinse and repeat method that works for me.

sure! lunardialled June 29 2011, 19:05:56 UTC
Perhaps that's for the best. The incessant 'mama' cries are simply unquieting. Though I am not averse to locking them in the basement, either...

Don't. Remember, this town does have a penalty system for anything it dubs as 'strange' and 'wrong' and that applies for all drones. There is a reason why we make sure they are cleared away from us and not listening to us. If they experience something that is odd to them, they will report it.

Child neglect would be something they'd be wary about and tell others. That's how children are... or rather, the children that are not human in this case. Tolerance and patience is an important thing here. Eventually the children themselves will be replaced by other people... there is that to look forward to.

...you make a fair point. I suppose I'm thinking too much of my own discomfort levels. I suppose tolerance and patience are the best ways. I can't say I'm the most used to children anyway, so...

Just put them someplace safe. In the end, they're barely humans.

'Put them someplace safe'. You sound like Alice talking about her dolls, putting them someplace safe so nothing hurts them.

These drones...they look and sound human but, believe me, they aren't humans. They aren't anything but puppets.

I think I'd rather have actual puppets. At least they wouldn't call me 'Mama'.
