[After a long, arduous day spent training in the forest, the stalwart Paladin returns home to his loving-and-yet-makeshift family, greeting them cordially before settling down with his journal the way some patriarchs reach for the daily newspaper. Frowning, he jots out a short note.]

[And snow-soaked Rydia returns home, dumping her cloak, scarf and boots in a wet pile in the corner. She resurfaces minutes later, rubbing her hair dry with a towel. Upon noting that frown, she angles over to him and raises an eyebrow.]

What's wrong?

[She sighs, raking a hand through her hair.]

Sadly, not everyone has that thread of common sense and morals aren't exactly guaranteed when the Malnosso bring people over. I hope they catch whoever did it.

[lunarborn]

As do I. [He frowns, visibly troubled.]

Not that we have a justice system in place, even if they did.

[Rydia frowns at that, then glances over to her wet pile.]

I should take those upstairs. I'll be back in a bit.

[She heads back upstairs, and nothing is heard from her in a while. Then there's a loud crashing noise.]

[Well, if she wanted his attention, that's the best way to do it. He springs up at the crashing, running to her room without a second thought.] Rydia?? What's happened?

[Rydia's standing in her doorway, glaring at a bucket on the floor that's tipped on its side, some water dribbling out. Guess where the rest is.]

A jerk of a ninja happened.

[She stomped into her room, soaking, then froze as she looked in the closet, then the dressers.]

He took my clothes!

[brb, holding in a laugh. So THAT'S what Edge was up to.] Quite uncalled for.

[Cecil had better hold in that laugh. Rydia's looking quite dangerous, at the moment.]

That's it, he's spending the rest of his natural life as a toad.
