Jon Stewart is a lucky SOB. He gets to be funny at the world's expense while being damned smart about it and showing incongruities in society that otherwise go unnoticed. And he gets PAID for this. *sigh*

MTV's Sweet Sixteen is now followed by Tiara Girls. I am in heaven. Making the Band 3 has apparently been pushed back until the May sweeps, but ( Read more... )

I can't stand to watch shows such as Sweet Sixteen. I think I once saw five minutes of it, and that alone was enough to make me want to kill the girls on the show and get me really pissed off at their spoiledness.

Just...aaargh. Basically, when people are spoiled that much and show it it makes me want to rip my hair out and scream. Or something. Yeah, there are plenty of way spoiled kids at Exeter, but at least most of them are tasteful and don't flaunt it too much.

I can only stand watching Sweet Sixteen in very limited amounts. As in one episode every two weeks or so.

Exeter kids do tend to be more tasteful. You'd never know how wealthy some of the kids are; those that tend to show off tend to be on the lesser side of the rich spectrum.

But Tiara Girls is fun. Most of them aren't wealthy; they're spoiled but only in the sense that they have to pay it back by living up to their parents' expectations of winning and whatnot. I do enjoy watching girls make fools of themselves on TV. And the sad thing is since they're teens, their parents have to make the decision to sign with MTV.

And seriously? What sane parent would leave their kid and family to the mercy of MTV's drama-happy editors?

Did you see the Sweet Sixteen with the guy from NYC? -- he is far too spoiled.
