It has been said that a huge earthquake come in my state sooner or later and I've prepared for the state of emergency. I had made an emergency bag and keep it.
There were a building of the strict earthquake proofing structure and one of the strongest breakwater in Japan.
I'm filled with a feeling of helplessness. ):

There really isn't much you can do other than stay alive and try to be ready. Don't forget to have some money in your emergency kit. Smaller bills are better than a few large ones. Often that seems to be something people forget. It isn't all just food, water, clothes and first aid kits. (My mom had a huge garbage bin full of stuff on the back porch when I was little.)

They have been saying we are due for a big one here too. Three plates colide in my area but we haven't had anything larger than about a 6.5 in ages.
