even my roomate who has never watched Torchwood was kind of devestated. Is this show even continuing? I watch but am not too into the fandom.

I never invested too much into the show, just watched it because it was who related and had some fun episodes-- I was a lot more upset than I had planned to be by the end. :(

It was never announced whether it was happening or not; I think a lot of the general consensus was that a fourth season would depend on the ratings of CoE. But I don't see how it could possibly continue now, unless it was a whole new Team TW (Although I might not be opposed to watching Gwen, Lois, and Reese running around hunting aliens).

I personally kind of wish we had known it was going to be the series end. I would have watched the first three episodes with less excitement.

Yeah I was big into Doctor Who but I never really liked Captain Jack. My friend begged and begged me to watch Torchwood because it would totally change my opinion. I have to say that it did. Ultimately I'm glad I watched but I have a lot of problems with shows that kill off scores of main characters. And as much as I would enjoy continuing to watch Gwen and Rhys I'm not sure I can handle an all new cast. And it's certainly not Torchwood without Jack.

Indeed, very distressing! Was already gutted at the end of Day Four, and it just spiralled from there...

oh yes, definitely. Day four was bad but day 5 was just...ugh.
