Same here! I think Obama has been one of the best presidents we've had yet. Those naysayers are on the wrong end of history.

People are stupid and they follow the stuff in the bible that's convenient to them. Being gay? That's sinful. Having slaves? They don't think we should do that (or they secretly do but know that no one will agree with them). Eating shrimp? That's totally fine. Apparently the bible says something about shrimp being bad and you shouldn't eat them? IDK. I just think it's time that people realise that the bible doesn't hold absolute truths.

Exactly! If you want to follow the bible then they should follow it completely... of course slavery isn't allowed any more, but I think you're right that they (some of them at least) would like that back again. There are so many outdated things in the bible it's ridiculous. I mean, when you go searching for research and stuff for a paper/essay you don't go looking in a book that's hundreds of years old! That's way too outdated. We shouldn't rely on those old ways anymore (but some still do, unfortunately).
