I can´t get into Twilight either ;)
Have you read Inkheart? It´s very good. It´s about book characters coming to live by reading their books.

How was your brother´s b-day?

I have heard of Inkheart, actually. If i see it in a store some day, hopefully I can afford to get it.:)

His birthday was fine. Normal, average day. He only got two birthday cards. I guess the older you get the less people think to get you a birthday card.

Life is too short to force yourself to read a book. I've forced myself to read a few 'classics' over the years and I don't feel any more cultured for it. However, Dune is an awesome book! I loved it! The sequels go down quickly though.

So true. I'm thinking about just skipping a few of the chapters that I'm having troubles reading and see if I can get some kind of gist of it. If not, I might just give it to someone as a gag gift or something. lol.

I do hope that I can find the sequels that I heard the author's son had written. From what I'm told they are better.

Don't bother with Twilight. Useless claptrap. Get on with that Dune reading! I worship that book, I do. And I loved the movie, for all it's weirdness

I'm definitely devouring the Dune book. I always look forward to reading more every night, so that in itself is a good sign! (I'm usually that way with fanfics that I fall in love with) And I can't wait to see the movie after I finish reading.

When you decide to watch a version of Dune, get the mini-series which has a follow up that covers the rest of the original trilogy, not the movie.
