Learned Saturday afternoon that my grandmother (my last one) died late Friday night. Been rather sad/depressed/blah since then. I don't know when the funeral will be yet

Oh hon, I'm so sorry! My great grandmother died last year and I was a total wreck for a month... Hope you'll feel better soon!

I'm sure I will be okay... I never knew any of my great grandparents, but there's a picture of my great grandmother (the mother of my grandmother) that looks almost exactly like me. It's kinda spooky.

I'm sorry to hear this; grandmothers are precious, but we often don't realise how much of a link to our past they are until it's too late.

Thanks, hon. Yeah, they are precious; and this one I've known better than my other grandmother. I just wish I had a chance to see her before she went, but transportation for me this year hasn't been good.
