I'm starting to feel like that cranky old woman who starts off most sentences with "Well, back in my day..." I want to get back in to LJ, I really do, but every time I try I run in to something that just annoys me.

Some examples:

ahaha, I agree with your two points. Especially tumblr! It's a spam zone but how much time can you spend spamming? COME ON GUYS.

SERIOUSLY! I don't get it, but I wish I did. I think I'm just used to LJ with its decent layouts, interesting posts and icons. Tumblr just feel bare and impersonal. Like a feed of "cool pix I found online n' stuff." Maybe I just need to create an account and give it a try for a while.

See, I can understand Twitter a little better. It's more social and can be about a variety of things. Also, you (obviously) don't have to write a novel of a post, just small updates as you go along in your day.

I hear you though, my days are so monotonous lately that I really struggle finding things to post. I'm not even feeling especially fannish over anything at the moment. Heroes is canceled, after tonight LOST is over. Everything else I watch right now is good, but not good enough to prompt me to get online.
