I forgot to post about The New Pornographers concert. Short version: IT WAS AMAZING! In other concert-related news, I'm going to see The Shins and Modest Mouse within the next two months. :O I've never been to so many concerts in one year before.
I saw Across the Universe yesterday. I don't think I've ever been so on

Radiohead! I'm extremely happy that they let their fans choosing their own price for the download-only. I took it for £0 because I'm a poor and lonely student but if I like it very much, I'll definitely buy the discboxes. I only heard negative reviews about Across the Universe, it makes me sad, I haven't seen the movie yet but I was very excited about it... Also, school work is overrated.
I'm so excited about the Radiohead news. I honestly think that this could mark a huge change in the music industry. I'll be very interested to see how much money they made using this approach (assuming that they'll eventually release that information). I haven't pre-ordered the download yet, but I plan to. I was originally going to pay £0 too, but I think I'll try at least £3. We'll see. I think I'm too overwhelmed by the idea of choosing my own price at the moment. XD

I know, I read a bunch of bad reviews before I went in so maybe that influenced my experience somewhat. I might like it better if I saw it again, but I doubt a second viewing will change my feeling of disappointment. This movie had amazing potential but there were just too many flaws in the story and direction. It's a shame, really. :(
Moonlight was so awful. Just bad. ANd I thought the same thing. A character named Mick St. John? Are you for real? Also, I had no idea Kevin weisman was going to be on this show!
I haven't had a chance to watch Private Practice but I just don't have time so I may miss out on this show.
I thought Moonlight was okay for a while. Boring and predictable, but okay. And then they played "My Immortal" at the end and yeah...AWFUL. Mick St. John sounds like a name a beginning fic writer got from an online random name generator. WHAT were the writers thinking? Hell, the entire story and all of the characters came off as someone's bad!fic.
I was both thrilled and upset to discover that Kevin Weisman was in the show. Thrilled because I've missed seeing him on tv, upset because now I have yet another reason to watch this show. *Sobs.*
Sadly, I have a feeling this series will be around for awhile.

If the pilot is anything to go by, you're not missing much. ;)
Yeah, Across the Universe was ok. I think I was just SO EXCITED for it, and it wasn't as awesome as I had thought it would be.
hahaha when Evanescence started playing at the end of Moonlight, I almost peed my pants XDD lololol omg! so funny! xD Dohring was really the only good part, but it does make me miss Logan. A lot.
I think Nathan Fillion, Paul Adelstein, and Jason Dohring should just start and star in their own show and spare their fans this pain. YES.
I don't know what I was expecting from Across the Universe, all I know is that I didn't get it. :/ I think the movie would've benefited from a few less songs and more story and character development. I realize it was a musical, but still, I had a very hard time caring about most of the people in movie. (Except Jude, because he was pretty ;) ).

LMAO, WORD! And then they followed it up with a Celine Dion song in the preview for next week. OMG, I MUST GET THE SOUNDTRACK! *Facepalm.* I hope the people working on this show realize that Dohring is the best only thing they have going for them at the moment. Sadly, I'm almost 99.9% sure the show will mostly be about the angsty vamp/human relationship. Gag.
Yeah I know! I didn't really get the Dr. Robert or Mr. Kite parts. What was the purpose of that other than to throw some extra Beatles songs in? They were both really random and had nothing to do with the plot. Someone at universe_movie said something about showing the difference between the city and drugs? lol I don't know. It was stupid though. I didn't really care about any of the characters either. Except for Max and a little bit of Jude. Lucy was such a bitch to him.
XD OMG I didn't see the preview for next week! Celine Dion?! XDDD
I didn't really like the Dr. Robert and Mr. Kite scenes. I love those songs and it could've been cool but in the end it seemed like an excuse to have random celebrity cameos in the movie. The city vs. the drugs? I guess I buy that, it just didn't work so well on film. :/
I liked Max well enough, but he seemed to be gone for a large chunk of the film so I ended up not caring about him towards the end. Also, I think it would've been better story-wise if he'd been killed during the war (or at least showed more with him in Vietnam).
XD OMG I didn't see the preview for next week! Celine Dion?! XDDD
HAHAHA, YES! OH MAN, YOU SHOULD'VE STUCK AROUND FOR THAT GEM! It was the new Celine Dion single played over nothing but angsty Mick/Beth scenes. SOOOO BAD! At least I can point and laugh at this show, if nothing else.
Whoa. I had no idea about the new Radiohead record, nevermind the marketing strategy. That's brilliant, and will definitely impact the industry in some way. YAY NEW RADIOHEAD MUSIC! Just the other day, I was wondering to myself when they might release a new album. This is awesome.
I keep staring at your bearded!Nathan icon saying "Bulletproof... I wish I was," in awe. ♥ (Incidentally, I included the song on my Nathan and Peter EP from forever ago. Hee.)
I really want to see Across The Universe, but it won't come out for another two months here. :\

I KNOW, RIGHT? They're one of my all-time favorite bands but I don't really keep up with them. This news is just blowing my mind. What a brilliant idea! At first I was like "OMG FREE MUSIC!" but now I'm seriously thinking about how much money I want to put down, because I really do want to support them in this. I think I'll spend very little for the DL pre-order but also buy the CD when it comes out in 2008.

Aw, thanks! ♥ I love that icon too. My two biggest obsessions at the moment: 1. Radiohead 2. Bearded!Nathan
It's definitely worth seeing if you loved the trailer. Like I said, I'm still on the fence about it, but I can see why an equal number of people seem to love and hate it.
I love Paul Adelstein, I just wish his character on the show didn't act like a sex-crazed frat boy. In fact, I kind of wish all the characters on that show acted more their age. I thought the whole point of this spin-off was to feature a slightly older/mature cast. Hmmm.
I stopped watching Desperate Housewives in early season two because I thought it got a bit too ridiculous. I will admit, however, that last night's season premiere wasn't too bad. It will probably the least painful of my "watching things I normally wouldn't watch in the name of favorite actors" shows. ;)

I agree. Season 2 was ridiculous. I almost didn't watch season 3 because of it, but did anyway just to see if it would get better. I thought season 3 kinda did get back on track though, so yeah...

lol, I spaced out during Private Practice too. The only thing I really love about it is teh cast. Paul Adelstein is awesome!
And aww, I can't agree with the Desperate Housewives comment, because I love that show. :/
