How is this your fault? From what you're telling me, it sounds like you were not in a position to give actual consent, ie, it was rape and he was a jackass for taking advantage of you. If the people you hung out with were smart enough to realize you were "being taken advantage of" then I wish they had also been brave enough to protect you from him.
thank you. the best I could pray for is that i'm not actually pregnant, so i won't have to choose between keeping the baby and getting kicked out of college, or abortion, keep my scholarship, but forever be bothered by my conscience... -_-
Your college will kick you out for pregnancy? That seems like a pretty harsh policy.
As was said above, though, rape is rape, and never the fault of the victim. So no need to blame yourself, nor to expect others to blame you. You're above the age, so you should be able to get drunk on occasion without waking up pregnant.
The best advice I can honestly give you is to get tested to know for sure. Best get an STD screen while you're at it. Once you know whether you're really pregnant, you can decide where to go from there.
It seems draconian for a school to kick students out for pregnancy, surely someone will listen to reason if you talk with the administration should it turn out you are pregnant and wish to keep the baby to term.
As to keeping the baby or not, no advice there. that's your call.
You're wrong, but not because you were drunk or might be pregnant. This is where you're wrong: But this is also my fault. If I hadn't gotten myself drunk that night, I wouldn't be in this predicament. Being drunk, or dressing "sexy", or being in a certain place doesn't give anyone the right to have sex with you without your consent, and if they do, it is their fault and not yours, no matter what anyone says. I'm really sorry that happened to you and I'm also angry that this so-called guy "friend" violated you and your other friends weren't looking out for you
( ... )
Abortion, if I remember it right, is pretty much a taboo in the Philippines, since we're in a very Catholic country. (Gays are a different matter though...)
Our college doesn't have a Women's Center, as there are only about 12 women per batch.
And no... they don't kick out men who get someone pregnant, as there would be no proof, and it won't get in the way of their schooling. Unlike with women, who'd pretty much show huge bellies, and other stuff... and they think that women who get pregnant while in college are either sluts or girls with no self-respect... so yeah.
Thank you so much for the hugs... *really needs it*
This might sound weird because you don't know me. I don't know you either; I friended you years ago for whatever reason and don't know much more than that. But I really hope your situation has gotten better, and will continue to improve.
