I'm not quite caught up on LJ, but I had to stop, because I'm getting too depressed and frustrated reading it.

Posts about people going to social events, having dinner with friends, seeing movies, reading books, working on hobbies... goddammit I want to have a life again.Even just reading LJ has to be quick because I have a late homework

I agree on the history stuff. When we were homeschooling Kat we got a history textbook as one of our many (free) resources. We'd been reading historical stories and such already - but the text book was the worst thing ever to read. I was used to reading materials aloud to her and working through them (3rd grade) and it was --horrible--. It's no small wonder that so many people grow up thinking history is bleah.

I hope you can find enough time for you in the middle of your indentured labor ;)
