A bit close for comfort, isn't it? And all that smoke must be causing some breathing problems for people. I hope they get it under control soon!

It is weird to see it everywhere I go. The only good thing for us is the smoke is not too bad it is going away from us. It should be hitting Mount Wilson within a few hours. which is just a schock.

Oh, sweetie, when I think of the ash and alyburns August 30 2009, 02:36:04 UTC
smoke you must be taking in if you have to go out :( It was 108 on Thursday here and 106 yesterday. Today, only 98 - and 83 now. Guess summer is finally here - and unfortunately - fire weather. :( Take care and stay inside as much as you can!

Oh lord, another one. Are you safe where you are? Your pictures are almost exactly like what I saw during the Jesusita fire in... what was it, May? Very eerily similar, same distance, same size flames and smoke plumes. Scary stuff. I'm worried about the upcoming "fire season" which apparently never stopped from last year!

*Hugs* Be safe and careful, Luna!

Yes there are way too many houses between the fire and us, we are fine. : ) and the smoke is not too bad, we hardly smell it.

It finally made it onto the BBC news this morning - it really looks horrible - I hate to see woods burning, not to mention homes. Stay safe babe.

Well now it's 105,000+ acres, and I'm a ways away and staying indoors away from the smoke. we have a marine layer this morning so it was cool, hopefully that will help.
