I'm with you about the music and the ending. But I've heard that actors particularly like the opportunity to die on stage or screen, so maybe the whole ep, even the ending, was played for the fun the cast would have with it.

Yes I know all actors crave a good death scene, ; )
I have a friend who is an actor and every time I see him in a movie he dies more than half the time. lol.
The ending was great because to me is was so emotional wondering whether he lived or died.
Well I am off to watch it again. ; )

I though Vegas-Rodney says something like "he could be in a lot of trouble right now" right before it cuts to the burning car.

I really would have been happy with the ending had there been shadows of helicopter blades along with the smoke and fire.

That is what I love about a story we all have our own ideas of what should of, could of, would of, happened next.
