My no spoilers policy totally went out the window when I heard some rumours on twitter last night so I clicked a spoiler link and totally squeed my lungs out!!! LOL

And I agree, as long as the writing stays as brilliant as ever it won't matter that they get together.
I am a huge fan of shows like Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs King, Moonlighting, Lois&Clark where the center point of the show was the chemistry of the 2 leads and they all got a bit crappy as soon as the characters got together but I blame the uninspired writing and I have faith that this won't happen with the Castle writers.

From these shows, I only really know Lois & Clark (loved Moonlighting many years ago, but I have only faint memories of the last season), and I think the problem really wasn't with the two of them being together in itself. Part of the fun was Clark hiding his identity, which was lost of course. But bits like Lois dreaming about a million flying babies made up for it. *gg* It was more because they just run out of interesting and somewhat plausible stories to tell, regardless of how the two characters were with each other.

So I'm really crossing the fingers that the writers dare to go against the stereotypes on Castle! Relationships aren't like in romance books for 12 year olds, that once they kiss or have sex it's all just rosy glow and harp music. There's a lot more story to tell, and it never really ends. I don't think I shipped anyone as much as Gemma/Clay except Laura/Bill, and they were married long before the pilot of Sons of Anarchy.
