Wow, so much has happened these past 6-7 weeks! Not just with me but with you guys, not to mention the world. I'm not going to be around quite as much as I was before, but I'm here ♥ I really WAS spending too much time online before anyway. Much thanks and love to
gizzi1213 for keeping me sane while I was LJ-challenged

Haha, someone at work said "he's not really committed if they don't have kids." This was before I knew about the baby. But I thought, ya know, lots of people get divorced. They could be separated for all I know. And maybe he's really a cat person, the dogs were pets SHE brought in... LOL
Yeah, a brand new baby kinda kills all hope.
That doesn't count as a boob picture, it's just a shirt!!! If you blow it up, though, it looks like I have something sparkly coming out of there. I have no idea why. Cat toy on the ground, maybe?
My nails are SUNSHINE yellow! That's the name of it! It's all cruddy now, though, time to re-do.
Glad you like the story structure :) I thought it was kinda rambly in the beginning and rushed at the end (well, I WAS kinda getting the itch to hit POST towards the end!) but if YOU like it, I am happy. <333

I read the whole thing but as I have nothing else to do in the evenings, I'm able to give long posts my full attention. :p
I noticed the hand is visibly swollen in the "2 weeks" pictures, it actually looks quite painful.
and chopped off the head of my ulna (that part that sticks up in your wrist
*Curious* What did they do that for? Was that part of getting the plate out?

Glad to be your bedtime story then ;)
It looks worse than it felt -- it only hurt if I let it drop to my side or if, say, a random cat happened to walk over it. Hehe, the kitties were actually pretty good about not doing that. I kept it elevated a lot. Oh and the kitties love to rub against the splint, cuz the velcro fastenings are a bit rough, they like that!
That's the thing I had forgotten about that Dr. Hottie had to get my approval to do. It's supposed to assist with me turning my palm up, and I think there were some bone spurs in there anyway from the earlier injury... potentially problematic later on. But the main thing was the movement. I'm not sure how successful that was... it's still very hard to turn over, and it won't go all the way without assistance, but maybe it's just too soon. My wrist is freakishly smooth there now. Kinda cool!

I survived a round of layoffs here. I should be safe at least until January now...and by then hopefully things will have started turning around.
At my mom's office, they announced last week that they're laying off people in July... but they didn't say who or when, or even how many people, so everyone is panicking. Lordy.
