Last Sunday, September 14, I had a dream about this guy Tyler that I used to mess around with. I had a mad crush on him, but he had a girlfriend (yes, this was a pattern with me). I haven't seen or talked to him in years
( Read more... )
I NEVER EVER remember my dreams. Although Karen at work was telling the other day that she was very annoyed when the alarm went off the other morning and woke her out of a "very pleasant" dream about being with George Clooney!!!
Oooo George Clooney! I used to have a mad crush on him too! (the "younger guy" thing didn't really happen 'til I turned 30. Hee)
He's adorable and he knows it. That was the problem. (well, one of them!) I think I started acting so weird around him that he thought I was a psycho. (which, of course, I am! LOL) I'd have to look back at my journals circa 1997 to refresh my memory.
I don't remember most of my dreams EXCEPT for a few minutes after I wake up, which is why I'm trying to record them immediately before they vanish!
Which isn't as glamorous as the title would suggest, btw; I was one for years as well. The pay was shit.
Preach it, sistah! Back at Regal in 1998, I was getting paid a whopping $6.00/hr as an assistant manager...which was basically a glorified shift supervisor position, really.
I worked for United Artists, which eventually got bought by Regal and that's when I decided to leave (it was a part-time 2nd job for me for a loooooooooong time... but I got to where I was only working one or two days a month).
I remember my starting wage in 1991 was $4.45 an hour. I was all happy cuz it was 20 cents more than minimum wage. Hee!
Yeah, it's from "Mean Girls." I don't know if you were calling it that before the movie came out... but the ditzy blonde, Karen, has "ESPN" in her boobs. LOL
lol that is funny. though i cant say i would want to be working at a movie theater for ten years. that reminds me of the little commercial they always have at our theater here that's like "Isnt it fun going to the movies? DONT YOU JUST WISH YOU WORKED HERE?" and i'm always like lol, no. cuz then i would probably learn to hate movies. that's weird how in AZ you guys always have stuff i've neverheard of. our movies were always R/C, AMC or Loewe's. i had to start going late to Loewe's cuz the jingle was stuck in my head for like 2 years straight.
AMC and Harkins are the main things out here. AMC is the one practically across the street from me so that's where I go most of the time. I've heard of Loewe's... and Edwards? You guys have Edwards?
Working at a theatre just gets in your blood or something :) I still miss it.
