Was great.

We have an awesome fandom.

Now I'm exhausted, need to tidy the house and pack everything needed for the next trip.

Oh yeah, and Mari Saario won Atorox. FANTASTIC! (Now I just need to read the story too /cough)

I'll repeat the writers advice on how to become an author.

1) Write.

2) Finish.

3) Get published.

I'm still on step 1.

No, no, no. Step 1 is "think what you want to write". I am still there. : )

I have lot of ideas and drafts, and even some unfinished texts. Just need to work towards 2) now.

But I have decided to get something done for Portti this year. For real. Actual story with words. And ending. (Time to get to work then, I know.)

I'm pretty sure that's why step 1 was "write" -- too many people believe that just thinking what to write is an actual step.

Okay, it's not an actual step. It's just a wishful thinking and betraying yourself that you are actually on on step one to writing a book or a short story. : )

This is writing we're talking about.

4) Get a well-paying dayjob.
5) Profit.

I was about to say that point 5. Become new Arto Paasilinna. But in the light of the recent news, I'd say rather not....
Well, become new Kaari Utrio. When it comes to income from your production. Or Barbara Cartland for that matter. ; )

I'd love to be a new Ursula LeGuin but I'd settle for a new Stephanie Meyer.
