I don't give a fuck what people say - I fucking enjoyed the HELL out of MUSASHI: Samurai Legend. It's my favorite Squeenix game of all time, and personally, I'd play this sooner than I'd play another Final Fantasy game. You can keep your 'magical summon girl drama' and 'emo androgynous male heroes', Young Musashi had STYLE, ATTITUDE

And let's not forget the alternate ending of that opening, where Musashi drops the princess with the best "OH FUCK" expression ever. (which... if I bothered to play before commenting.... I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT WAS THE OPENING)

And like I said before: MOTHERFUCKING SURF COASTERS. Kicking ass with dual sword action while surfing music is playing WHILE WEARING THE MOST BITCHIN' RAVERS EVER equals EPIC GODDAMN WIN.

That's another thing I gotta hand this game - it got me into SURF COASTERS (ESPECIALLY THAT FULL VERSION OF 'SAMURAI STRUCK'!), and man! It was Zelda with 'Crazy Stoopid' style!

Tetsuya Nomura is a great artist, and I do like his artwork, but I found his Musashi and Musashi II art is what drew me into more Square stuff. I got into 'TWEWY' just because it reminded me of Musashi's out-there style.

Incidentally, I've seen one other person in Orlando cosplay Musa-san. I was impressed how he crafted the 'ponytail' and h is girlfriend was 'Ganryu'.

Seriously, these days haven't been too huge on Square-Enix RPGs... but what was cool about Musashi, is the 'arcady-feel' to the combat system, the cool level up, and learning new 'deathmoves' with the alternate swords you collect!

I haven't played that one yet but always was meaning to get it in stores. I still play my copy of Brave Fencer: Musashi for the good ol' PSX though >:D
