[unable to resist such an interesting invitation such as that--especially since he was unaware of any paths on that side of town--the Doctor has decided to dress for the occasion in a nice black tuxedo and bowtie and shows up to see what sort of starters they've got to offer.

once he has his lime soda, he stands by one of the many openings in the restaurant, sipping his drink while looking out at the view of the forest and the town in the distance while the sun begins its descent towards the horizon. he wonders just when the other shoe might drop.]

[he catches Brax looking off somewhere and follows his quick gaze.]

Ah, Fuu! Hello. [he smiles and walks over to her, putting an arm around her shoulder while he ushers her over to the bar] Listen, I wanted to ask you something, but I'm in the middle of a conversation with Brax, so--[spots something on the food table] Ohh, try one of these! [hands her a piece of bruschetta] Had one of these when I got here and it is the best! Molto bene! [he grins cheekily]

Anyway, I'll catch up with you later. I promise. [and he heads back over to Brax]

Oh, hardly gratuitous, but very true. The bruschetta is fabulous.

Anyway, where were we? [takes a bite of said bruschetta that he'd carried back with him]

[looks a bit sheepish] Doesn't matter, does it? It's easier to blend in this way if they think we're human, although...Fuu does know I'm "from the future", but beyond that, nothing special.

You're the one who got distracted in the first place, Brax. But I believe we were talking about the "how" of this place. Nothing adds up. Two plus two must equal five in this place for how absurd and utterly...occasionally peaceful it is.
