Your writing style as a very smooth flow that's easy to read.

Very nice, it captures the atmosphere of the *cough* Chancellor always managing to keep Anakin away from Padme so the distrust can build between them. (ooo that evil old man....)

I can see Padme getting upset like that, throwing the candles after neatly exstinguishing them.

Whenever I see an open-ended ending, I tend to moan and groan and even swear at the author. Muahaha. However, I would like to say that your fic's open-ended ending is perfect. :D

It reminds me of the Clone Wars episode where Anakin is called away from his romantic evening with the Mrs., and she's ticked about it still the next day.

People tend to forget how hard this must have been on her.

I don't remember that one, but I haven't seen all the episodes. Yeah, it must have been so frustrating. Not only because the Jedi pretty much own him, but because she has to keep it a secret. I feel sorry for both of them. If only it were another time!
