Hehehehe. I, for one, welcome our new Flying Spaghetti Monster overlords. (And just about anything that pokes fun at people who think Intelligent Design should be taught in schools)
i think it shoudl be one of those 'we're not goign to say anything cuz we don't know for sure' and leave it up for parents to explain. too bad the 'birds and bees' is taught in school, not like it does anything to make anyoen smarter about it anyway. kids are too impressionable to be liek 'this is ONLY a THEORY but we wont teach other thoeries'
Go read this. The funny thing is, evolution is for sure. The fact that species evolve over time has been shown time and time again; even the theory about how this selection can explain how all life on earth came about has been tested numerous times. Evolution always comes out as our best and most useful explanation.
Moreover, so much of our current scientific understanding of biology (and even some other fields) springs from usage of evolutionary theory that it would be ridiculous to not teach evolution in school. Among the scientific community, there is no debate anymore. Evolution is fact. And any student who does not learn about evolution in school is at a sad disadvantage if they ever wish to become a scientist.
yeah thigns change over time=fact. sad thing also is peopel think that we evolved FROM monkeys which isnt what darwin was saying, he siad mokeys and us evolved from same prevoius creature but we dont know what it is or soemthing like that. i just think if they teach one thing they should make sure peopel understand it right
