But when he looked at her, she looked so sad and lonely. She looked the way he constantly felt.
This line, right here, is how I always write Mark and Lexie and it's why I fell in love with them in the first place. Before they had each other, they really didn't have anyone. GREAT JOB, Kim! I can't wait to read more! Already, they're wonderful together :)
I feel like Mark and Lexie were both such outcasts and so lonely when they first started at SGH. I always thought that was something they would bond over.
This is great. I loved how they connected right from their first meeting in the bar. I love how he doesn't see her as an idiot intern but for someone who is feeling lonely. I always hated Meredith and her friends reaction to Lexie.
I hate how Meredith treats Lexie at first, it's not her fault that Ellis cheats on Thatcher, that Ellis takes Meredith away from Thatcher, that there was no contact...my guess is Thatcher wasn't allowed contact with Meredith. It's not Lexie's fault that Meredith had a crap childhood, and that Lexie had the fairytale one...we assume. Heck, Thatcher could have been a crap dad to Lexie and Molly and the only good was Susan.
Just because Meredith is pissed at her parents mistakes she shouldn't take it out on Lexie, the girl who had no say in her parents and being her half sister and in many ways in having to move back to Seattle and do her residency there instead of in Boston where she'd planned.
I like that their relationship is better, and for Meredith she is trying it's just not enough for Lexie. Lexie is a bit of a tenderheart and needs more than Meredith can give. Not that I'm dissing Meredith, it's just how she was raised, and a part of her personality because of it.
Hi, wow! I loved it. I loved how Mark and Lexie bonded about their difficult times at SG. I never appreciated how Meredith and her friends treated Lexie when she arrived in Seattle.

Meredith was pretty terrible towards Lexie when she first arrived at SGH. And in this story their relationship will develop as well.
