I find it really amusing that the Google toolbar is offering to translate the Greek on the Perseus Project page I'm using. Yes, Google, I know it's in Greek and unfortunately you can't do my homework for me

So true. This chapter we had geography, car parts, and transportation, but of course there was no "Which way to the Autobahn?" Lol.

btw, how's Greek?

Greek's okay so far. I actually feel like it's a bit slow at the moment, because the teacher still has to explain what the different cases do, and how endings change depending on the cases. And I learned about this stuff in Latin already. The endings are different, but the basic principles are the same.

How is Greek going for you? Are you still translating The Bacchae?

Latin makes everything better (especially Greek!).

Yep, still translating Bacchae (at least until the semester ends!). Heh, my Greek is going ok. And by ok I mean that I can understand some of what's going on in the text. It is really slow going for me because my vocabulary is horrible and because the Bacchae is poetry so Euripides doesn't have to follow the rules of syntax all the time.

I've just finished translating my first choral ode in the play. Wow, those Bacchae are a little weird. O_o but that's what makes the translating more fun.
