I can totally relate to the wanna be a peon thing. I've been a manager in title now for 9 years, and in duties for 12. I don't like it. I don't like having to make all the decisions and deal with the petty interpersonal drama. It was the part of being a guild leader that I detested to the point of making me quit playing EQ ( ... )

congrats hun!! I'm very proud of you. :) I hope that it is all that you hope it is. And that they aren't just BSing when it comes to working less. I have seen managers work more after being made a manager. I also hope your benefits are more and less $$.

So what I am saying is, GO GIRL!!!

I think you're a perfect choice for a manager. You're organized, fair and smart. It should also give you the opportunity to make a positive difference for the employees there. It tends to be the people who are reluctant leaders who make the best ones.

These thoughts seem a lot more intelligent and coherent in my brain, but the cold medicine is making them come out garbled, but I hope you get my sincerest of drifts here. ;)

Hopefully the manager position also means you get a bonus!
