Considering this came right after a post in which he quoted Austan at length going entertainingly ballistic-in-a-sensible-way as his ranting wont (highlight: Austan accusing Jack Welch of "bitching." I need to send his wife a letter of congratulations for having had the foresight to lock that down) and Ezra Klein put up an interview with Christy Romer in which she was her usual endearingly bubbly yet frighteningly competent self, it would have been a good day for economic and financial news fangirling even without your mix. Your mix is more than just gilding the lily, though. Can't wait to listen. ;)
I haven't read TNR in a couple of days now and its never happening again. Noam is such a fanboy I can hardly stand it! Whatever his substantive merits, no bank CEO consistently sounds like such a prick, so far as I can tell He'll go to such extent to beat down Geithner's party poopers and calling him a Prick agh ♥ ♥ I should make it clear that Dimon is a prick and I like that
Austan you magnificent bastard!! AKLJSADJDKLSJD I love rants that are entertainingly ballistic in a sensible way (One of my fav. comedians, David Mitchell, is exactly like that) LMFAO, my fav line: The fact that we are here to bitch about the economy and about this policy and that and the budget forecasts for GDP growth are 1 percent too low, I’m thrilled,
And the metaphor at the beginning comes in a close second
Christina comes across as lovely and adorable in that interview, TOO MUCH ECON AWESOME FOR ONE DAY.
.........To my mind his greatest hit is looking like Chuck Hagel's baby-faced brother. ♥
Also I hope you clicked through to the Vanity Fair piece because the pics are adorable (I didn't actually read the whole transcript of the panel so can't report on that) but if you didn't I picspammed the nice ones here.
Also I kind of want to follow you on twitter but do you tweet too much, will I be overwhelmed?
I do tweet a substantial amount (and it depends) but I don't think its overwhelming. These days I'm just trying to keep up with the people I follow. :)
