Your senator is truly awesome indeed. I love that he refuses the insurance offered to Congress because he won't take government insurance until all Americans have that option. So fierce.

I have one fierce senator (Merkley) and one eh-not-too-bad senator (Wyden).

I don't think he makes a big fuss out of it -- I didn't know until I saw a youtube of Ted Kennedy that mentioned how Sherrod Brown is the only member of Congress who doesn't take the congressional insurance package. It's pretty amazing, though. That's putting your ideology where your mouth is.
