Cranberry Sauce

Skye: This sound right?

1 cup sugar.
1 cup water.
1 bag cranberries.

Heat water and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Add cranberries. Simmer gently until:
* looks syrupy and gooey
* slight crusty goo on inner rim of pot.

Take off stove, and let cool. Cooling will cause it to gel.

Optional: add other things like oranges or spirits.

Yup. Except I put the berries in the pot right after the water and sugar are put in. It does not seem to matter much. When you throw them in already heated water/sugar, they DO make cool popping sounds though...
