Steampunk Alex! Pocketwatches and waistcoats! Bashing Cockney thugs in the face with his umbrella like a proper gentlemanboy! I could envision this so perfectly. Of course, wee little Alex Pettyfer in Tom Brown's Schooldays probably helps.

Steampunk and Alex Rider mesh extremely well... in fact I could very easily see a whole rewrite of at least one of the books with a steampunk AU twist and how it would work beautifully. :D (I mean come on, can't you see Smithers' lab and way over the top gadgets? Blunt wouldn't change much, he'd just turn out to be some sort of peerage, Sayle could be an evil Arab Sheik... and heh, Snake would be a real honest to gods Scotsman, Fox could be a reknowned Foxhunter, Wolf a woodsman and Eagle a pilot?)
