Kevin sniffles slightly, staring down at the melted remains of his chocolate frog. He can't bear to eat them, but he's not sure if it's not worse to see them die slowly in his palm. Joe and Nick, Kevin thinks, never have moral dilemmas over their candy, and for the thousandth time today, Kevin misses his brothers desperately. His heart aches and pulls and feels too big for his chest, and for a second, all he wants is his family.
The mandrakes rustle above him, and a pale face peers down.
Kevin startles and jumps, banging his head on the underside of the bench he's sitting under, there is one pathetic croak from his fingers and the repurcussions for being out after hours crowd to the front of his mind.
"Um?" Says the face.
"Um." Replies Kevin.
"I'm Neville?" Questions the face.
"Kevin?" Asks Kevin.
Kevin wouldn't normally question whether he is Kevin or not, but since coming to Hogwarts, all he's heard is don't, that's wrong, not like that, no, no no no no no no. At this point, Kevin is feeling lost and unreal, stuck ( ... )
