I've heard tons of stories about kindles breaking. I've had mine for over 2 years and it's been fine. One of my colleagues has a nook and loves it.

I love my iphone. Got it in January and literally cannot live without it. I had an ipod shuffle that broke after six months and I'm not in love with my ipod nano but the iphone can't be faulted. It works great!

Yeah, I've started reading Kindle reviews and a 10 minute search leads to 400+ Kindle customers whose Kindle died between 1 and 4 months after the warranty expired (13-16 months after purchase). I think it's an absolute scandal. I'm a very loyal Amazon customer, I buy all my 'real' books and dvds, cds etc with them, have an Audible subscription etc. I've heard good things about Nook and Kobo. Not yet sure what I'm going to do yet...

Thanks for the iPhone advice, yes I'm pretty sure I'm getting one. Possibly tomorrow, as I have some free time at hand :D
