"She was looking for trouble you could tell it by her clothes"

I have developed rather an obsession with Enneagram personality testing. Basically the idea is that all people's personalities can be classified as one of these types, 1-9. There are 3 varieties of these nine types Sexual, Social and Self Preservation. Also people will manifest some of the characteristics of the type either side of theirs. This is known as their wing. So people can be a 2 personality with a social variant, or a 2 with a sexual variant, or a 2 with a 1 wing, or a 2 with a 3 wing and so on. There are also levels of health involved, so that mentally healthy 2's may manifest different aspects of their personalities than psychologically unwell ones but I'll not go into that really...

These are my results.

Take Free Enneagram Personality Test

I am a 4 - Romantics, Individualists, Artists, self preservation variant and I think I have a 5 wing, (Observers, Thinkers, Investigators) - because I have done various different tests and repeatedly come up as a 4 with 5 as the next highest.

I've read about it in the library, wikipedia and I got more information on my personality type from this blog here, so anyone who does the test might want to do the same and for me everything said there about four personalities sounds hideously like me.

In fact this entry should tell you how much of a 4 I am - because with 4's the emphasis is on self absorption and searching for self...

"The Four is the personality type which emphasizes the subjective world of feelings, in creativity and individualism, in introversion and self-absorption, and in self-torment and self-hatred. In this personality type we see creative artists, romantic aesthetes, and withdrawn dreamers, people with powerful feelings who feel different from others because self-consciousness blocks them from getting outside themselves."

"The introspective, romantic type. Fours are self-aware, sensitive, and reserved. They are emotionally honest, creative, and personal, but can also be moody and self-conscious. Withholding themselves from others due to feeling vulnerable and defective, they can also feel disdainful and exempt from ordinary ways of living. They typically have problems with melancholy, self-indulgence, and self-pity. At their Best: inspired and highly creative, they are able to renew themselves and transform their experiences."

All I can do to all that is nod my head. Also the tendency to wallow in negative emotions, the desperation for attention, shame and overactive imagination are also very four isues that I've read about that crop up in my life too.

Anyway I hope some people take the test or know their type I am intrigued to hear what your thoughts on the personal accuracy for you were.

For those of you still awake I would like to point you to this performance of Mr Duncan Browne singing his good (but not as good as "Criminal World") song "Wild Places"...

Lol LOOKIT the poor silly woman in the leopard print rubbing herself on him like a cat in heat...ah the woez of pop fame...I especially like the way he looks at her with a mystified yet strangely respectful AWKWARDNESS.

His music was rather fine - a fact borne out by the number of covers done of his songs, one by Bowie no less and yet few people know who he is, or was I mean, as he is dead now.

I was indoctrinated by the bastion of good taste Miss electricwitch one evening and am now his TOP LISTENER ON LAST FM.

OBSESSIVE LOVE

He wrote this song called "Mignon", which is in a different style to Wild Places - very folky, just one man and his guitar type of stuff - beautiful as all hell in this fragile folkish kind of way and concerning a tragic death ("She was looking for trouble you could tell it by her clothes") and ghostly women ("You're always welcome here if you come back through the air")

I will upload it in an instant for anyone who vaguely wants to listen to it that is how much of a cheerleader I am for this man.
