Kind of, um, veering away from the point of your post, sorry. :D

But This country is lucky enough to have so many talented song-writers, reminded me of something I heard a few years ago: that the Swedish government has some sort of program set up to give artists (and I'm assuming songwriters fall into that category, but that may be completely wrong on that) some sort of monetary stipend? Is that true or was whoever told me that blowing smoke out their ass?

Oh, honestly - I've never heard of something like that before - it's possible that it's true, but I've never heard of something like that! I know there is LOADS of monetary stipends and things like that to get for music-related educations, work and so on - for singers, artists, dancers, song-writers - here, but I don't know if the government has anything to do with any of those!

I'm actually getting curious about this now, so I'll try to find out more about it - I'll let you know if I find out anything interesting!
