This is my much too late report of Worlds Wing Tsubasa premium 2008 [Tokyo, Oct 3-28]
These are the dates I attended the show;
Oct 3, Oct 5, Oct 6, Oct 11,
Oct 17, Oct 18, Oct 22 and Oct 26
Act1.
1. Opening.
As the curtains opened, the only thing on stage is some kind of white statue/monument-thing. The monument held a sword. A junior in brown village-like clothing came out on stage and started talking. I think he also sang something? I am so fail, so I’m not sure exactly what he did or what he said; I don’t even know what the name of the junior is. ^^;;; Everything else just disappeared from my memory as soon as Tsubasa came on stage…
But either way, as the boy spoke, it gave me the feel of this being almost a fairytale being told by him. Like, you know in disney-movies like [Beauty and the Beast], when you’ll get to see a book at first, and a voice reading it as a story. This was the feeling I got from the opening, that someone was telling this story to us.
2. Forest. [I Came here to get].
The stage went dark again, but soon there is a visual of a castle alight in the background. This eerie-sounding type of music started playing and there are dancers/juniors running back and forth with billowing green fabrics behind them. There are even more dancers behind, dancing and hiding amongst the fabrics. Then the stage went dark for a second and then this really powerful, eeeevil-sounding music start thundering from the speakers. Evil-Tsubasa makes his entrance. He is wearing a black, long coat with red details, and with black feathers down his back and sprouting out from his shoulders. This is SUCH a powerful opening scene for him. All his minions in the dark forest stands looking up at him, their arms outstretched, reaching for him, reaching for their master.
And Tsubasa himself looks so powerful as he slowly sails down from the ceiling towards the stage. He looks so serious and gives of this really aristocratic vibe. The evil!Tsubasa’s theme song, [I Came Here to Get] is SO good! ♥
3. White Tsubasa enters. [Shout/Shout Out/Out]
Here comes the ADORABLE good!Tsubasa. Good Tsubasa is all dressed in white, also with feather-details, and some small golden details also.
While he played evil!Tsu with a really stoic, serious expression, good!Tsu came off as completely adorable. A bit of a silly chicken, at times. He often had a small smile on his face, and he was just… you want to pinch his cheeks because he looks so innocent and adorable and CUTE.
I LOVE this song too. [Shout-Out]… and this is the only one I don’t have a fan-audio-recording off. If you happen to have it, and are willing to send it to me… I will name my first born after you, or something!
4. Village-scene. [Ballet.]
Tatsumi comes out, starting to dance ballet in the small village, where I guess good!Tsubasa lives. Another junior joins him, and soon there are several dancers there, both female dancers and juniors. They’re wearing village-typed clothing. Adorable!Innocent!Tsubasa comes out and he’s for some reason wearing a normal white shirt and black pants.
They dance in the village, and here he meets his true love; a girl from the village. They fall in love immediately, but then…
Evil!Tsubasa-appears! His evil theme blast through the speakers and his evil minions start kidnapping all the village-girls. Good!Tsubasa tries to protect them - his love in particular - but he can’t fight them all. He’s not strong enough. And as everyone else has already mentioned… his butt looks mighty fine as he keeps being dragged and thrown around as a rag by the evil minions! *_* And his shirt rides up more often than not, too, to several times reveal his back and thus his butt even more…. *_*
5.[The power of life]
This is my favorite song from the whole act! It’s sooo good, and Tsubasa’s voice sounds gorgeous, and it’s so emotional and perfect and gushgushguusshhh! ♥♥♥ It’s like he is calling out for the lover that he lost, wanting the power to get her back. To get the power of life, to get the power of love. I love it so so much, ♥
And he still wants to be good, he doesn’t want to fight. But he has to because he wants to bring her back and keep her safe.
6. Dark Tsubasa’s domain.
We’re now in Evil!Tsubasa’s domain. Here are all his minions, and here is he watching over them. Evil is here played by Tatsumi, because soon enters Good!Tsubasa. Good is now wearing this GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS silver-outfit (with a skirt)! He’s also wielding a swords, so I presume the outfit is supposed to be some kind of armour? It is absolutely gorgeous anyhow, and falls beautifully around his lower body. He is obviously there searching for his love, trying not to be seen by his enemies.
7. Harem-scene.
Here we get to come inside Evil’s lair. It start with stairs being rolled out, with all the girls wearing harem-style clothing. They‘re dancing some kind of belly-dance-type of dance, and are all wearing veils over their faces, and golden, clinking chains around their waists. One of the girls is drumming and soon some of the evil minions comes out and sings, and are joined by the harem-girls.
And suddenly Evil!Tsubasa is suddenly there, standing on top of the stairs the girls were on previously. He’s now wearing a black coat with red-details. And, all over the coat there are white “bandages”, or something. He looks so handsome here. ;_;~♥
And he starts dancing through his harem - the dancing here is really erotic showing just how he snares them into his nest. He’s seducing them. The song goes something like this, [Set me Free, Forever], while they are still dancing seductively with him, showing how the girls are probably frightened to be there, but they still don’t want to leave because… Tsubasa is hot as melting chocolate.
Tsubasa when he dances this dance… it is out of this world. X_X How he moves even when just walking around, among all of his harem. And when he dances with them one by one. He moves so smoothly and his dancing really is more sensual and erotic than any of the female dancers. *___*
Sometime during this song, Tsubasa walks backstage and a second later Tatsumi appears as Evil!Tsubasa.
And there from the left side of the stage, Good!Tsubasa runs up straight into Evil’s lair. Now wearing a white shirt and black tight pants. Good runs straight to his girl, and tries to pull her with him, tries to save her. At first she seems confused, almost not knowing who he is, but then as he pulls at her some more, she seems to remember, and she’s on her way with him. That’s when Evil pulls his strings and Good’s girl suddenly pushes him away. She doesn’t want him anymore.
All the girls start pushing and kicking Good. Hitting him and stomping on him. He seems so shocked, hurt, sad, that he can hardly fight back at all. They start binding him with red and black ropes. He tries to struggle against the ropes, but can’t do anything. They started hoisting him up in the air, and soon he’s high up, struggling against the ties there instead! Poor good, innocent and adorable Tsubasa! Soon he started struggling against it and tries to climb up the ropes, but then, alas, he falls. (It nearly gave a heart attack every single time he did this, even though it indeed looks very safe. X_X)
He struggled for a good while and… (it was impossible to not stare at his butt the entire time. X_X It was just so… there, what with the tight pants and being tied up and and… omdl. X_X
And, I couldn’t stop myself from wondering, every single time… isn’t he wearing any kind of underwear at all? I could see NO lines, no matter how much I tried to… and I tried. A lot. ^^;;;)
Anyway, Good lost the battle, and was soon lowered down in the darkness below.
8. Stomp-battle.
Good soon comes up again. Tired, beaten, hurt. He coughs, writhes in pain, covers his head… He tries to understand where he is, and what he’s doing there.
He’s in some kind of rock landscape, and soon juniors start appearing. They’re all carrying sticks with metal by the endings - I’m not sure what they’re actually called. And they all started creating this rhythm with their sticks, and it really is amazing to see. It’s a really powerful performance! Good, though, seems to hate the sounds. He tries to cover his ears, his head, not wanting to hear it. It’s as if he doesn’t want it to affect him, he doesn’t want to change. But he soon joins in, stomping with the others…I see this as if he has a battle within himself. He can’t be all good if he wants to save his lady lass.
They do this stomping for a while, but as it ends, all the juniors leave the stage and soon Evil’s music start playing, and he appears again. They watch each other, Good and Evil, mirroring each other.
9. Final Battle.
The last dance-scene for the first act here. All the juniors dances in unison in their Evil-minion black coats. They’re all dancing, while holding swords.
And here Good!Tsubasa appears again in his silvery skirt-armour. He come running through the audience; there are three sections with seats on Nissei-theatres first floor, and Tsubasa appears in the row between the middle section and the left section of seats. And for the shows on the 5th, 6th and 26th, I had seats at the edges of these sections, so several times he ran past me, just inches away! *dead* Pretty, pretty, pretty. *___*
He starts fighting all the minions, tearing them all to pieces. They have not a single chance against this new, sassy Good!Tsubasa. And soon the all-last battle between Good and Evil begins. Good Tsubasa wins, and can pull the sword out of the monument that was featured in the very first scene of the show. He kills Evil with it, and as Evil falls back, good raises his sword in victory. He won the battle.
But then… he is suddenly in pain. He is dying; realizing no good can come without evil - neither can exist without the other.
10. [Joy & Pain.]
Everyone comes out again, all dressed in white. All the juniors and female dancers stands there, until the back-curtain opens up again and out comes Tsubasa, in a long white coat.
The song is really pretty, and the lyrics are very nice.
And with this song is how the show ends. I see it as if it’s about contradictions and how neither extreme can exist without the other. Love&Hate, Joy&Pain, Good&Evil, Night&Day… and so on and so forth.
As the curtain was pulled down for intermission, the words, “Tale of Wing &…” appeared. ^^
After Intermission, it was time for Act 2.
1. Flamenco.
Of course it started with the Flamenco. Tsubasa’s Flamenco. A Flamenco I FINALLY got to see after waiting for it for so long. Last year I missed it because of his hurt foot, since I was there for the first few shows, only…
And, oh god. It smashed all my expectations to pieces. It was perfect. I don’t know anything about flamenco whatsoever so of course I can’t give a professional opinion, but he danced it with so much passion and he was just perfect. And I, for one LOVE the red heels!
Laughs* ♥♥♥
2. MC.
The MC-section came right after the flamenco. He had a slide-show of pictures from his trips to spain, and after that he came out to talk to the fans and borrow his handkerchiefs. Read them further down the page. ^^
3. Beyond the Sky.
SEXAY! Oh man, the tight blue outfit, the sparkly vest only buttoned with one button. He was gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I’ve loved the song ever since I first saw it on Msute, and I love it even more now. The dance was extremely latino-ish, and I think it was during the show on the… 11th? perhaps, where he kept adding small hiprolls/thrusts during the whole performance, that he didn’t do on any of the other shows I went to. And as soon as he raised his arms over his head, we’d get a peek of his belly and oh myyyyy it was soooooo gooooood. X_X
4.Jazzy-broadway-segment
Several of the songs from last year were left, only this time it was the juniors singing and dancing [Pride - the End], while Tsubasa was changing backstage. He came out in a black suit with one silver line up the legs on either side and then there was also some kind of silver details on the jacket if I remember correctly?
They performed [Step by Step], [Beat is on] and then this really Broadway-sounding song which is always really fun to see. (It’s the one where Tsubasa gets sandwiched between two juniors. XD) During this song, on all the last shows I went to, the audience were all clapping along. ^^
5.Nature of Earth - Water World
The two following parts of the show are quite possibly my favourites’ of the show. I loved it last year, and I love them even more now.
We hear things whoosing in the background, and as the lights go up, we see that they’re shooting out silver confetti over us. The effect is gorgeous, since the stage has suddenly turned into a gorgeous sea-landscape. Behind the stage, on the screen, we see blue waves, to soon dive into them, and go far far beneath the surface. Fishes are swimming… while a soft tune starts playing.
On the aisles, the female dancers appears as fishes. They dance - swim - towards the stage and dances there until Tsubasa appears in a long, glittering coat in different shades of blue. He looks like a male mermaid. Head of the sea. Gorgeous.
And he sings [Take Your hand], which is the most gorgeous of ballads. How I wished I’d seen Takki’s face on the 17th, as Tsubasa sang this one…
By the end of the song, Tsubasa has turned all the fishes into mermaids, and he disappears into the cave….
6.Nature of Earth - Fire World
THIS! This! I can NOT ever stop spazzing over this performance! I will never ever, ever stop loving it.
The Sennen Medley. He appears on the top of the rock, wearing a blazing, fierce red outfit with feathers sprouting out from his shoulder. I love the outfit and think it is gorgeous! ♥
And the Sennen Medley are just SO great. It’s so powerful, so raw, so perfect! The song, the dancing. The way he yells as he stomps his white stick in the ground… Yes. It really is perfection.
7. Chinese-segment.
The scene begins with a fan-dance. Not as in human fans, but fans you cool yourself with. XD it was followed by the [Polowtsian Dance], which I simply love. The dance, and the melody, everything. And I remember reading the lyrics to it at one point and that it went something like this (the English translation, that is). “Fly on the wings of love, to the homeland, our homesong, where we sang, freely loving. Where you and me felt so free…”
It feels somehow fitting for WW and for Tsubasa.
8. SHINY TUNE.
Beautiful ballad. I haven’t much to say about it other than that the song is beautiful and Tsubasa’s voice is gorgeous in it.
9.Native/Tribal-sequence.
It starts with the drummer girl coming out and having a drum-solo. She’s wearing tribal-like clothing and soon the other dancers and juniors start appearing on stage, all wearing the same style of clothing, but everyone with personal details and looks.
Tsubasa soon appears. Wearing nothing under his vest for any of the shows I attended, at least? GOD HE IS SO GORGEOUS. How is it humanly perfect for a person to look this perfect? His tiny, tiny waist, his smooth skin…
They dance to the music, and it’s very animalistic. It’s a powerful, intense kind of dance, and they have sticks again, Tsubasa and two others, and they dance with them for a while, spinning them around. They glow by the ends and Tsubasa really comes across as some kind of chifetain or something as he stands in front, back straight, face so powerful and serious, as he hits his stick in the ground.
Tsubasa climbs up the construction, which somehow looks like a scaffold… and he starts throwing himself up and down, sliding down poles, while the drumming, tribal sounding music kept playing, along with random shouting from the dancers.
He finally climbs up to the top of it, and pulls off his vest. Everything is quiet now, all the juniors and dancers on the stage standing completely still. He starts drumming. It is always so raw, passionate, insane. EDGE drum-version starts, and there’s almost a kind of insane edge to it all, as he hit’s the drum, more and more intense every single time…
As he signals to the others on stage that he is ready to start the actual EDGE performance, they all start screaming, these guttural sounds, screaming no particular words, just roaring.
I always get the feeling that he gets a wee bit turned on by hitting the drums. Heh. XD
It’s a bit strange, because every time after EDGE, it looks like he just falls down to his knees not able to stand at all. I will never understand how he manages to do so many shows!
All the juniors and dancers thanks the audience, as the drum-construction is slowly lowered into the floor, and Tsubasa stands in front of us to bow his thank you’s. He always gives his drumsticks to one lucky person in the audience, on the first row. *_*
10. The End.
He appears another time, to say thank you. Thank everyone for coming, and sometime talking a little more about different things I couldn’t understand at the time. X_X
And as a finale he always sang a ballad… I’m not sure what it was called, at all, and I don’t have an audio-recording of this one either. It was gorgeous, though, so if anyone has it……… m(___________)m Please, please, please?
I also have some special notes on the shows I went to! ^^
[Show on 3d]
My thoughts after the opening shows were as follows: Opening-show! He is perfect! The show is perfect! I have pretty bad seats; far to the right of the stage, on the 2nd floor, but god, he is perfect!
I love the story and the music of the first act, and I am so happy he kept several of the performances I loved from last year. [Sennen Medley], [Take your hand], especially since I’d thought he’d remove those.
He is perfect!
He dropped his drumsticks twice during EDGE, but covered it up smashingly!
[Show on 5th]
Funny MC where he sat down in a fans lap after borrowing her hanky. He asked us not to stare at his butt when he walked up the small stair to the stage - tried to cover his butt with first one, and then two hands. CUTE! (And he knows his fans sooo well….. Heh!) He looked so adorable, though, walking up the stairs, covering his butt with his hands, peeking at all of us from over his shoulder with a mischievous smile on his face. ♥
[Show on 6th]
He was crazy-Intense during EDGE! Threw drumsticks all over the place on purpose, and even broke either one or two of them. SEXAY!
[Show on 11th]
Was there with Swedish friend - a boy. I think we must’ve stood out quite a lot, both being blonde westerners and he being male on top of that. XD But I didn’t notice anyone staring- I was terrefied Tsubasa would take notice of us and come and say something, because not only was my japanese even worse a month and a half ago, but when I‘m nervous I can‘t even speak Swedish properly, to try and say something in Japanese would be pure HELL
Tsubasa didn’t come up to us, though. Thank goodness, I didn’t want to die just yet. ^^;; He unbuttoned an extra button of his black shirt, though, under the MC/hankerchief-corner and wiped at his chest. I died. We had very good seats for this show, too. ^^V
[Show on 17th]
Further comments unneccessary. OH GOD, I DIED, I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY IN MY LIIIFEEEE, TAKKI CAME TO CELEBRATE TSUBASAS BIRTHDAY WITH HIM ON STAGE, SO CUTE, I DIE! (There are more on this show further down, though. ^^)
[Show on 18th]
Seemed really happy, but didn’t look as tired as I’d somehow hoped he would… *lol*
Mentioned Takki a lot.
Brought a little boy with him up to the front of the seats. He asked the boy who out of Takki and Tsubasa does he like the most. The boy was honest and replied “Takki”.
Tsubasas reaction was adorable! He sort of flew backwards, laughing, and rolled around on the floor until he lay with his face down in the rug, until the boy helped him back up again by pulling at his hand. CUTE CUTE CUTE!
And Tsubasa asked what does he like about Takki? The boy answered, “Everything.” Tsubasa laughed. HE HAS THE CUTEST LAUGH IN THE WORLD! <3
Tsubasa then asked if Tsubasa isn’t also a little kakkoii? Isn’t there something he likes about him, too?
And the boy answered that he liked Tsubasa’s hair. Tsubasa looked satisfied, stroking his hair while laughing. CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!
Then he said that he’d dry himself now, and he’d give him a Takki-ppoi wipe. XD So he stood with his legs widely apart, and dried his face super-quickly and super-exaggerated, in the same way Takki does when he does that hysterical hand-dance, if you know what I’m talking about? I can’t explain it well, but Tsubasa nailed Takki’s body-language PERFECTLY, and it was SO hilarious!
[Show on 22nd]
My best seats so far, I was so, so close to the stage, I could see everything perfectly. And by this show, I think it really, really hit me that I really could watch this show every day for the rest of my life without ever getting tired of it. Because it really is perfect. The whole of act1, was just… everything is so perfect.
Sine I am so much of a failure, and writing this a month late, I can’t remember what went on in the MC for this show. I wonder if this might‘ve been when he got all happy about someone having a “ENDLI-niichan“ hankerchief. ^^. I blame the fact of me not remembering completely, on me being so close to stage, so all I see in my mind when I remember this particular show, is close-up’s of his butt and Juliet. XD
[Show on 26th]
My last show! It was paaainful. Especially before the show starting because my seats this time was so lousy compared to my last ones… far up on the 2nd floor. And I just couldn’t stand the thought of knowing that I’d have seats so far back on my last show. So in the end I bought a new ticket and a classmate (A Johnny’s in general, Kanjani8 in particular fan.) bought the other ticket from me so I get good seats in the end, thank goodness! It all felt a little better then, about it being the last show. I so wanted to go to senshuraku, too, but I just… couldn’t. I’d already skipped school on the 17th to go to the birthday-show and even though it feels quite painful to have missed the all-last show, I’m happy I went to the birthday-show instead. ♥
However, for the handkerchief corner for this show, he went around quite a while to look for a hanky to wipe himself with. But then he saw someone waving around one of those takitsuba-muffler-towels, from their debut-con. He smirked when I saw it, I’m positive he did; you know that small little smirk that appears on his face when he’s getting his mischievous plans. XD
So, he went up to the one holding the takitsuba towel and he took it. And, then he deliberately held it up for everyone to see, and then he took a hold of only the “Tackey”-part of the towel, and even more deliberately wiped his face with only that part. The audience screeamed! And then he also had a quick wipe with the Tsubasa part of the towel. LOL. Tsubatease. <3
And of course the birthday-show deserves a whole section of it’s own. :3
♥♥♥Birthday-show!♥♥♥
I think I have never, ever been as happy before as I was during/after this show. It was just insane. The day before the show, I hadn’t even planned to go I’m too much of a chicken to even skip classes for even an hour or two. So I hadn’t even tried to get a ticket, I’d just tried to ignore it, telling myself that it’d be just like any other show, of course it would be. Takki is also busy, of course, what with the new butai-news and everything else… really trying to convince myself that it wouldn’t matter weather I went to this show or not, because I really can’t, can’t skip school… in Japanese schools, attendance is more important that pretty much anything. So I was fine… though a wee bit angsty and antsy the day before. And late at night on the 16th, my Japanese friend, M-san, emailed me to my phone. I had been JUST about to go to sleep since as I said, it was already late. But in the email she asked me I was sure if I couldn’t go for the show tomorrow… because she might’ve found a ticket. :O
And since I have no self-restraint WHATSOEVER, I… told her to if it was possible, if there was any possibility at ALL for her to find me a ticket… “PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!” And she called me about 15 minutes later saying she’d found me a ticket! Because she’s amazing and I owe her my life, because in all honesty, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I would have missed that show, being in Tokyo, being only 15 minutes away from Nissei…
And so was the story of HOW I got to see World Wing on Tsubasa’s birthday, even though I am made of epic fail and hadn’t even planned to go because I am a coward, afraid sensei-tachi would yell at me. ^^;;;
Anyway! I got inside the theatre maybe about… 10 minutes before the show started. I settled down in my seat, trying to calm down, because not only was I spazzy because I was actually there, I’d actually skipped school for the first time in my life, and I was going to see the birthday show, and my emotions was pretty much all over the place; and there was also the fact that I had a high fever that day, so I wasn’t really feeling my best. XD
Either way! As I was sitting down in my seat, waiting fir the show to start, I was of course - like every other takitsuba-fan that day - wondering if Takki was there. Since I was on the second floor, and the guest are usually sitting on the GC-seats, I couldn’t see, but instead I was looking at the audience on the first floor; I was trying to see if they were looking at something behind them, craning their necks to see anything… but there was nothing. No one was looking at anything or anyone in particular, just waiting for the show to start. Though, already by this point you could feel the tension from the audience. Everyone was already really high, and smiling a lot, laughing a lot. You could already feel that this, this is a good audience. Everyone is here for the same reason… to see Tsubasa, and hopefully… Takki too.
But the theatre went dark and no one had screamed no one had pointed at the far back, no one had done anything in particular to indicate that there was any special guest there at all that day.
So I was a bit disappointed of course… even though I’d hardle even dared hoping that Takki would be there. I mean, why would I ever be so lucky to have Takki come as a guest on the show I attended - of course he was busy. Instead I silently hoped they’d get to celebrate together later that day.
And Act 1 unfolded, just as lovely as every other time I’d seen it. Beautiful songs, beautiful singing, beautiful dancing. Tsubasa was gorgeous, of course he was. I forgot about my takitsuba worries, just watching him sing and dance this beautiful story.
And then there was the intermission, and I tried to see again if people on the 1st floor was acting strangely, or if they were looking back, but… nothing. That settled it for me; Takki hadn’t made it.
Just a few minutes before the 2nd act started, someone who sat next to me (I’m such a clutz, so before the 1st act, I’d actually dropped something I was holding, straight into this person’s bag! I am made of fail) spoke to me - in perfect English! I was so surprised, because I’m always just in my own little world whenever I’m out alone, so I was so so surpried! It turned out to be ribi! Bikkuri! But so nice to meet her! ^^
Anyway, we just had the time to talk for a few minutes, and then the curtain was pulled up and the Flamenco started!
After the flamenco the usual picture slide-show begun and after that Tsubasa came out for his usual MC-corner. He talked about flamenco as usual, me not understanding much at all of what he said, but then he started walking around the audience, as usual to borrow a handkerchief. He apologized to the upper floor for not being able to come up to us, and he wished he could fly like aikata-kun… but, wait. He thinks he can smell aikata-kun!?
And the whole theatre just erupted with crazy screaming and everyone craned their necks… I couldn’t see Takki, but now I knew he was there! I couldn’t see either Tsubasa or Takki during the following minutes, but I could hear Tsubasa talking to him. Was Takki tired? Telling him to not fall asleep or something like that. And just… just hearing him tease Takki like that again, made all my takitsuba-worries fly out the window. It didn’t even matter that I couldn’t see him - didn’t matter at all. Because I honestly thought that was it - he was there as a guest, the both of them were in the same room - what more did I need? It honestly didn’t matter that I hadn’t even seen him at all, just because he was there. He was there, Takki came, he actually came! I think my head was spinning a little, I was so happy. It’s a bit scary how your idols - people you don’t even know for real - can affect you, how much you can actually love them, and how happy they can make you by merely existing.
So, the show continued, and the audience was SO high-tension now! Even more so that at the first act! Everyone clapped so hard, for so long, and the whole environment was really so perfect. It was obvious that there were many T&T (TxT!?) fans in the audience. ^^
And the show was over and everyone kept clapping and clapping and then he came out for the encore-ballad and he talked for a little while, and he started talking about Tackey&Tsubasa. Said that even though they’re working hard with their solo-activities, we shouldn’t worry, because to them, Tackey&Tsubasa is what is most important. And he just… when he said this, he looked so serious. As if he really wanted for all of us to understand that this really was the truth; whatever it might seem like, they really DO treasure takitsuba more than anything.
And then he asked us that even if we might have to wait even more, please don’t forget Tackey&Tsubasa. And the audience screamed! And then…
Tsubasa looked to his right - our left - with a strange, surprised smile on his face. And out from the side came Takizawa Hideaki. Handsome is dark jeans, and a grey jacket with black details. White tanktop or t-shirt inside. They were both smiling so widely already.
The audience had already become quite hysterical. Everyone was already standing up - having stood up to clap for him by the end of Act2. Everyone was SO happy to see Takki there! See the both of them together!
The talked for a while, Takki congratulated Tsubasa on his 16th birthday, think. It was as it always has been between them, no awkwardness, nothing - and I wondered fleetingly why I’d ever worried about the unit in the first place, because how could anything or anyone EVER break these two apart when they so obviously LOVE each other so much!?!
Takki brought two cakes. I think one was from him and one was from the staff, maybe? The cake from Takki was with whipped cream and strawberries. Lots of candles - 27, of course - and on it, it said, [Happy Birthday “TSUBASA” from Tacky]. Tsubasa read it out loud, looking so adorable, his face close to the cake when reading it all in English. Tsubasa blew out the candles and then picked up a strawberry from the cake. Turned to Takki with this HUGE, electric smile on his face, holding the strawberry out for Takki to eat. Takki, of course started laughing helplessly, turning all flustered as always. Tsubasa was persistent and walked closer and closer to him, still holding the strawberry out for him to eat. Takki backed away, saying the audience will get the wrong impression. Tsubasa asked if he’s embarrassed again, just because there are people watching.
Tsubasa made one last attempt to feed Takki the strawberry, but it ended with Takki taking a run for it, escaping backstage. Tsubasa shook his head, laughing, and plopped the strawberry inside his own mouth. “Oishi.” ^^
And then Takki soon came out, carrying two big presents, wrapped in red paper! I wonder if he wrapped them up himself? :3
Either way, he looked SO proud when he came out with the gifts. And he looked at Tsubasa with such warm eyes, and it was just, ahhhh, so wonderful so see! As Takki was deciding where to put the presents down - deciding the floor would have to do - Tsubasa was actually touching Takki’s hand with his own - I don’t know if it was to try and help him, or if he just wanted to touch him. ^^~♥
Tsubasa opened the presents, sitting down on the floor. He looked really surprised when he saw what it was and I don’t think he really understood why he got it at first. A kitchen-play set. Takki explained that since Tsubasa loves to cook, and he loves his niece so much, now they can cook together. SO adorable - the most thoughtful gift ever. <3 I can just see it in front of me, Tsubasa and his little niece (and Takki too, lol) playing together. :3
And then Tsubasa wanted to thank him for the present; he waked forward to Takki, with his hand outstretched. Takki put his hand out too, but he looked quite wary - of course he knew something was up. And Tsubasa took his hand and… pulled Takki too him and just… attacked him with hugs!! It was more like he actually glomped him, throwing himself at him, rather than a simple hug! Takki was smiling SO much, throwing his head back and laughing and they were glowing, they were so happy! Kyyahhh~And the audience went CRAZY! I was jumping and screaming like I don’t know what, and so was everyone else.
Takki looked all shy afterwards, of course. ^^
Then a little while after that Takki said he had another present or surprise or something… and it was a letter. The audience started screaming like lunatics, of COURSE hoping it was a letter from Takki himself… But alas, it wasn’t. It was a letter from Tsubasa’s mom, also in the audience that day. I didn’t understand at all what it said, tough. ^^;;;
It was quite funny that when Takki started reading the letter, they started filming Tsubasa’s face, and you could see it on big-screen. Zooming in, hoping he would cry, of course. XD But he didn’t, he was just smiling prettily the whole time instead. I CAN’T FORGE HOW HAPPY HE LOOKED! I can’t… I can’t explain how HAPPY they both looked. The photos from that day doesn’t do it justice! They looked so happy, and they didn’t stop smiling for even a second, and they both looked so… I mean, it’s so obvious that they belong there on stage together, and how anyone could ever not want them to be together is just blasphemy.
Like, Tsubasa was happy on every world wing show I attended. I has happy, he was laughing, he was giggling. Joking with the fans, loving to perform, working so hard. He was happy during every, every show.
But here, when they were both together... it was something more - it wasn’t just happy. He was glowing; both of them were. And it was just so great to see because it made me feel so reassured! Because when they so obviously love being together so much, of course they will be back. We will have to wait, but they will never accept to be separated for too long.
They talked a little more, but I think, by this point I was so hysterical that I couldn’t even breathe properly, so I didn’t really understand anything. I was just clapping, jumping, crying, laughing, and my already lousy understanding of Japanese was non-existent by that point. I know that he said something about wanting to go see [Takizawa kakumei], at some point, though.
And then there wasn’t much else, and it was over much too quickly. I think the birthday party lasted for maybe 45 minutes? Even more? But it just felt like it flew past so quickly, like only 5 minutes had passed, but I wanted it to last forever! I forever wanted to look at them being so happy together! ♥
As Takki left, Tsubasa’s eyes were practically shooting ♥‘s after him, lol!
~~~
And here I think I have to end this report. It somehow got really long even though I had nothing really new to say about anything. I just really wanted to write a report for myself to remember everything from my own perspective, and with my own view on things. I hope someone else can enjoy it at least a little too.
I'm sorry if there are a million mistakes in the text. I will probably come back and edit this if I notice too many but right now I just wanted to finally get it posted, lol! XD
So to end it all, I just want to say “Thank You“, Imai Tsubasa-san and the rest of the staff, for all your hard work, making [World Wing Tsubasa premium 2008] such a well produced, well planned, and beautiful show. It was a true pleasure to watch it, and once again I feel so proud that I get to be your fan.
I will hope for more World Wing in the future, and I wish you good luck with your solo-concerts this christmas. And most of all I will keep all my fingers crossed that you will soon get to return home. ♥
