My TegoMass report!
Oops. It's been almost two weeks since Tegoshi and Massu were here, and I'm typing my report up NOW.
I think it's taken me this long to actually get some kind of... distance to it all, and be able to start thinking clearly again. Because it really was an intensely insane day - I think anyone who was there wouldn't take long to agree with me on that. It was completely crazy.
We live in Sweden. We're SO far from Japan. Johnny's doesn't exist outside of Japan(Asia).
And then, a couple of months ago the Swedish fans found out that Tegoshi and Massu from NewS were... coming here. To release a single. In Sweden. I don't think I understood it at all first - I believed it, sure, but I was SO sure something would go wrong. That they wouldn't come here.
But come, they did, and behind this cut is my EXTREMELY detailed report of the day!
They were going to be on Swedish-television on November 14, for the first time, and on the afternoon of November 15, they were having a fanevent at Spybar for the Swedish fans, to promote their new single. Later in the evening there was a release-party for media and other invited guests.
And suddenly... it was November 14. The day before the event. I don't think I'd ever been so nervous before in my life. I've always loved Tegoshi... I've liked Massu all right, but he hasn't been really... on the top of my list. But Tegoshi...
Over all, it was INSANE, because I was going to SEE Johnny's-idols, for real. The weeks before the event... I knew I was disturbed to begin with, but woah. The discussions I had with
sassy_86 only got weirder and weirder as the days went by...
I hardly slept anything for several nights before the event, and then... it was suddenly the morning of November 15, and time to leave for my day with TegoMass!
I had decided to wear black tights, a jeans skirt, a powder-pink cardigan and grey legwarmers for the day-event. I had a sligth panic-attack in the morning when I realized that OhMyGod I don't have any SHOES. It was cold outside, but in the end I wore my black ballerina's, anyway, as they were the only pair I had that looked decent.
I met
sassy_86 at around 10:30, at the train-station and we headed off to Stockholm. We were first going to my aunt's workplace, to leave our change of clothes' for the evening, as we were going to the release-party, too!
So, we went to auntie's workplace, dumped our bags and talked to her for a while, before we headed back to the trains and continued on our way to Mariatorget, where we were meeting
nymphadorablack who was doing an interview with them for TV. God, I can't even IMAGINE how nervous she must've been before doing that!!
Anyway, we were at Mariatorget, outside the hotel Tego and Massu were staying at at around ten past twelve, as that was where the interview took place, and as soon as we walked by the hotel, I saw a bunch of Japanese people there, and I was like, "Wow, there sure are many japanese here! XD" and then I see someone carrying a tv-camera and I think, "Oh, great! That must mean the interview is finished, so
nymphadorablack must be coming out soon..."
And then we're just about to sit down on a bench in the park outside the hotel and I see a familiar hair... and I think I might've hit
sassy_86 on the arm (sorry about that. ^^;;;) while hissing "IT'S MASSU, IT'S MASSU!" And Sassy... I hardly remember her reaction, as I was so, "OMGOMGOMG, It's MASSU! MASSUMASSUMASSU!" myself, but I think she was pretty much the same way herself. Then we sat (god this is so embarrassing) with our hoods pulled up and looked at them from the benches, behind some bushes! Then Sassy stage-whispered to me, "THERE'S TEGOSHI TOO!" and I thought I was going to die for real. TEGOSHI!
Massu was wearing a dark, puffy coat with a hood with fur around it, and Tegoshi, which I only saw from further away, almost completely behind someone bigger than him wore something that at least looked like a leather jacket. They were both INCREDIBLY pretty, and so so small! So we kept staring at them and then soon they were walking away - probably going to a restaurant somewhere to have lunch.
And, soon I heard from Nymphadora too, and she came out to the park we were at, and it was soooo great to see her again! I'd missed her a lot! ♥
She was completely... wiped-out, but in a good way, after the interview! They'd both been wonderful, we got to know, and she'd even gotten to stay and talk to them a little while, in private, after the interview had finished! That sounds completely fantastic!!
We stood around for a few minutes, just... not understanding what had happened. That we'd actually SEEN them for real.
We were pretty hungry by then, and to honour this very special day we decided to go for Japanese food! Nymphadora knew of a japanese restaurant just close by, so we decided to go find it!
I'm not sure if this is the right name for the restaurant, but I think it might've been Sandai me-KATO? It was a very different restaurant, in terms of furnishing, but I really liked it! From the outside, the restaurant looked reeeally small, but it was almost like a cave inside! A cave with a tunnel! It was so deep, and inside there were room for lots of guests!
I'd been in the mood for sushi for several days already, but when we was there Nymphadora recommended their Ramen to me, so we both took Curry ramen with Yakinuki! And, my gosh, it was SOOO delicious! And the portions were huuuge! Yumm! I'm definitely going there soon again! ♥
After that, we were going to meet up with the rest of the party - we were several people that were meeting up together -
kayen,
nattskatta, a friend of Sassy and also a radio-reporter that were doing a report of TegoMass for swedish radio. He was doing an interview with Tego and Massu on Tuseday, and for the Wednesday he was going on the fanevent first, and then also the release-party! He'd found me via this journal and I guess he wanted to... see things from an obsessive fan's perspecitive? ^^~♥
So, all in all, we were seven people that were going on the event together!
We met
nattskatta at Stockholm's central, at a café, while Sassy had a muffin and me and Nymphadora shared an ice-tea.
kayen I found writing besides the circle in the middle of the central, too. ^^ Together we started on our way to SpyBar, where we later met the radio-reporter and Sassy's friend!
We got there quite late, so we were among the last one's coming there, sadly... We bought our singles (I bought two - thank god. You'll know why later!) and then we were inside the room where the event were held! We were at the far back, which was sad, but as it was quite a small event (though, there were much more people than I thought it would be!) so it wasn't as it we were very very far back, anyway. But people were too tall, so it was a little difficult to see at times... ;___;
Anyways, we were at the back, on the right side. Just a few minutes before it started, I heard someone calling my head from the crowd, just a little behind where we all were standing. And it's my MOM! She was there with my little sister and my little sister's friend, and my mom was just as excited as any other fan there! It was hilarious!
And then my mom told me that just when my mom and little sister arrived, and were walking up the stairs to the hall, apparently Tego and Massu had been walking past the stairs! And Massu had smiled at my mom, so she was bragging about that!! I was sooo jealous!!!
Before everything started, they'd showed some NewS videos we had been to late to see - but we DID catch the Seishun Amigo PV, and it was amazing just to hear it and see it together with so many that likes the same thing I do! We were all singing along, and it was wonderful! :3
At about 15.30, a staff member from the Swedish staff started talking, and he presented Tegomass and told everyone that they were going to sing two songs, and then after the songs, some photo's were to be taken and then there was going to be a handshaking event with TEGOSHI and MASUDA. And I thought I was going to die. For Real.
So, just a few minutes later, right on time, no diva behaviours like with artists here. TegoMass come inside the doors... I think a girl fainted almost immediately just from seeing them? Poor thing... she'd probably waited for ages, and then just... yeah. I hope she got to see them anyway!?
Anyway, there they were. Up close. Tegoshi and Masuda. It was such a bizarre feeling to just... have them there, in the same room as myself. I just started screaming hysterically, and I think the few rational thought's I'd somehow kept until that point just... flew away!! I had no idea a real world existed at that moment, because Tegoshi and Massu were THERE!
And, by god, they were SO pretty. Pretty isn't right, though... there was something more... their very presence up on that stage... it's impossible to explain, but there they were, and they were perfect!
Tegoshi was wearing a white shirt, with blue stripes, I think? And over it a sort of gray-metallic jacket. He also wore black jeans and the coolest pair of cowboy-boots I have ever seen. They were black with small, small heels and a few silver clasps. I fell completely in love with the shoes!!
Massu was wearing dark-blue jeans and a white shirt, with a black vest over. I think there might've been some kind of very thin tie-like-thing somewhere along the way, also, but I'm not sure about this? It it existet, however, I am pretty sure it was black. ^^;;;
He was wearing skater-sneakers on his feet, I think... and I think they were white.
They both looked so nice. They looked older in real life, than they do on pictures in magazines, or on the computer/TV screen. And they were so tanned!
Tegoshi was incredibly beautiful. Beautiful. He was shining. And Massu... as I've never really noticed him before, it was like... like a slap in the face to see him for real. He was Sexy and Drop-dead-gorgeous!
It all went so quickly, so it was difficult to actually realize what was going on, but they were on the stage, they presented themselves in Swedish,
"Hej, Jag är Yuuya Tegoshi!" (Hi, I'm Yuuya Tegoshi!)
"Jag är Takahisa Masuda!" (I'm Takahisa Masuda!)
"Vi är... TEGOMASS!" (We are... TEGOMASS!)
"Listen to our song... Miso Soup!"
And then the melody started playing everyone was just screaming and jumping and singing along, and dancing, and the energy of the whole place, you could almost touch it! And Tegoshi and Massu just kept smiling so widely, and it was INSANE, just... I'd never expected this! I'd been looking forward to it for so long that I almost thought I would get disappointed, but... it was a million times better than I expected! A million times better than I could ever have imagined!
They sung live, and they sounded perfect and Miso Soup is probably the most wonderful song ever, and their voices and their smiles, and their obvious happiness and joy of being here and god, it was an incredible feeling! I was waving the penlight I'd gotten from Nymphadore from when she was in Japan in August, and just... ahhhh~♥
After Miso Soup they sung another song - I think it was called Hajimete no Asa or something like that? I'm not too sure. But that was a WONDERFUL song, too. Their voices really are gorgeous. And they sung it with such passion and feeling... ♥
When they'd finished singing, they were thanking the fans, in Swedish and in English and some japanese... "Tack så Mycket!", "Thank you!", "Arigatou!"
Then, as everyone just continued screaming, screaming their names, screaming in sheer happiness, in ecstasy, in love, screaming for more, they didn't know what to say! They said what little Swedish and English they could - Tegoshi said something like, "This is berry interesting!" and I think they both said, "You're berry berry pretty! Everyone is Berry berry cute!!" AND IT WAS THE MOST ADORABLE THING I HAVE EVER HEAAARD!!! I died from love!!
And everyone kept screaming "Kakkoii" and "Kawaii!" and things like that, and when Tego and Massu didn't know what to say anymore, either in Swedish or in English, Tegoshi did the cutest thing. He made a happy sigh! "Ahhhh~" and everyone screamed even more! And I think he enjoyed that, so he did it again! And again! That long, adorable happy sigh!
Then they took some photo's where Tego and Massu stood on the stage, with the audience in the back! (The pictures recently appeared in Japanese newspapers!!♥)
Best thing ever.
Then it got even better... or worse, depending on how you look at it. It was the time for the handshaking! I thought I was going to die (again). We were in the far back, so we were one of the first to walk out, and on the way out... Tegoshi and Massu were to be standing behind a table, shaking everyone's hands...! Ahh, that was just too much to even think about!! We'd get to TOUCH them too??? O__O
Anyway, some people were already shaking their hands, and I saw them... Tegoshi and Massu, and they were so close...! And as we were walking towards them, Nymphadora was stepping to the side to say hello to M. And I were going to do it too, and somehow, everyone else paused behind us, and someone said, "We have to empty the local, now!" and I think I was pushed forward... and suddenly I had stumbled my way up to where they were. And they were there, in front of me, all happy smiles and pretty as dolls, and eyes shining with joy and kindness and god they were REAL. Actually REAL.
And Massu was standing first, and he took my hand in both of his, and his hands were big and warm and so manly, and he looked me straight in the eyes, and I thought I would faint on the spot and then it was Tegoshi's turn, and I don't think I have ever seen a more beautiful boy in real life, ever, and his eyes were so big, and full of wonder and innocence, and his hands were smaller, and quite cold, but he took my hand in both of his, and...
And it was over. And I walked down the stairs and I could hardly walk straight, my legs were shaking, and my mind was spinning, and then I was out on the street, and everyone was either just staring on each other, completely silent, or screaming and crying madly. I was more quiet at first I think?
My memory is a little fuzzy from here, I only know that I was interviwed by two radio-reporters but I hardly knew what I was saying as I was so "!!!!!!" about everything. So, me and Nymphadora were just squealing and jumping and laughing - poor reporter. XD
What was really hilarious, though, was that when "my" reporter (the one who walked with us) had finished interviewing me and Nymphadora, he was going to stop the recording - I guess he was going to press the off-button. And the he sort of pauses, and stares at the recording-machine... and then he looks up at us with a small, embarrassed smile and says, "I'd pressed the pause-button..." And I just started laughing, it was so cute and funny at the same time!!
But it didn't really matter, as we just repeated the interview again - it wasn't like wither me or Nymphadore had calmed down anything at all - we just got more time to squeal. XD
We stayed outside of Spybar for quite a while - I'm not sure why, but we did. Then we all split up and me and Sassy went to my aunts place to get changed for the evening-party!
We were both veryvery high-tension as we went there, and we had to stop by a store to buy something to drink and some candy and things just to be able to... well, BREATHE again!
My Aunt were just laughing at us at first when we got there, as we were so high! She was really super-kind, to let us go there to get changed - she had to stay at work for almost an hour more than usual because of that! I LOVE YOU, AUNTIE! ♥
For the evening I wore a wine-red shirt, a black skirt and a black halterneck-vest and pink legwarmers with grey ribbons on. :3
Then we were heading for the party, and there were some troubles at first, but we called M. again and she helped out (♥), and we were soon inside the release-party. It was much calmer than at the fanevent, of course. It was really amazing, also, that there were fans standing outside of SpyBar the whole time! I hope neither of you got a terrible cold or anything, because of it!? It was SO cold outside!!
In the rooms, there were small tables here and there, and I think there was even some celebreties there? I don't know much about Swedish celebrities but I know that Ville (?) from Idol was there, at least.
Anyway, me, Kayen and Sassy were all standing just above the stairs, waiting for... I don't know? I think I, at least, was waiting/hoping for my brain, some kind of rational thoughts, to come back to me.
My hopes were for nothing, though, for who came walking up the stairs, if not... Tego and Massu themselves. I hardly saw Tego, he was walking quite quickly... I think? Or maybe he was walking normally, and it was my brain who made everything super messed up? But, then... somehow, my eyes met Massu's and I think my world went completely still for a moment. Everything really felt as if it was going in slow-motion. Massu was looking at me, straight in the eyes, I was just staring at him, staring back in his eyes, and then he smiled the widest smile, and I smiled back and he nodded his head at me, and I nodded back, and... I somehow managed to not scream or flail or anything until he was a few steps away, with his back at us. I think I grabbed Sassy's arm, and hissed, "OHMYGOD, DID YOU SEE, DID YOU SEE??? HE LOOKED AT ME!!" I think she grabbed my arm back, and she hissed back, "I DID, I DID!"
Nymphadora came a little later, but it was all right - they weren't going to start singing until about 9 o'clock so we all had the time to get some food and drinks at first. The food were an asian buffet, and everything was delicious here, too. There were three types of sushi, and I'm a sushi-whore, so... of course I loved it. There was salmon too, and some salads and some meat, and I don't know what else... shrimps? The salmon was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted in my life! It was SOOOO tasty!
And Tegoshi was walking around in the halls, mingling and talking... eating miso-soup... (I FORGOT TO TASTE THE SOUP! HOW COULD I???) Massu, however, we saw in a special (VIP?) room, dancing/practicing some coreography and whatnot. We spied it through a door which opened sometimes when people were walking in/out from there - but Nymphadora had seen another door, which was completely open, so we went there and took a peek for a few seconds. He's a fantastic dancer!!
Hmm... after food, we were somehow standing amongst a few other fans, and Tegoshi were with them, and we said hello, and I laughed like a silly person, I was so nervous, but I got to shake his hand again, at least. So he looked me in the eyes, again, and his hands were warmer this time, and he said, "Hi! I'm Yuuya Tegoshi!" and he smiled and he laughed and he was like a small ball of fluffy, bubbly wonderfullness. I can't repeat enough how incredibly beautiful he is in real life. How beatiful they both were in real life. To see them up so close... it's... yeah.
Soon, though, Tego had to go - he was going to be interviewed. So we soon headed for the stage again. We were determined to get better places this time - and we were lucky. We were JUST in front of the stage this time! Incredible. For the fanevent, we were in the far back, now we were in the opposite - we were as close to the stage as you could actually get without sitting on it!
And at nine, they were to sing again. And, it was incredible this time too - in fact, I think they were even better this second time!? I don't know it was because we were so close to them now, but... it was even more perfect to hear them live a second time. Not a tone was wrong, everything was just completely perfect, and incredibly beautiful!
And they must've practiced their English A Lot, because it was SO much better now, than it is on the single!
Ooh, yeah, during this live was when I noticed that Massu had painted his nails! His left thumbnail, I think, were painted half with a dark-red polish... but what was the prettiest was that the nail on his right ringfinger were painted bright orange, with really big glitter flakes on it. It was incredibly sexy, the contrast of orange nailpolish on his very manly hands. ♥
I know that he surely did this to everyone, and that I'm not special in any way, but during the live, Massu smiled at me, and his eyes met mine several times, and I was just standing there, not knowing what to do, or who I was going to look at so I kept standing there, with my hands clasped over my heart, with a sappy smile on my face, almost wanting to cry, and my eyes kept flicking from Tego to Massu to Tego again...
Ahhh, I get goosebumps just remembering it!
THEN was when the magic really happened. At the end of the night, I actually dared to SPEAK to Tegoshi. I was so nervous I could hardly speak, but I knew that I HAD to at least try, or I would hate myself forever and ever... so I dared myself to go up to him and tell him that I love his voice. So I did...
I walked up to Tegoshi, my heart beating like crazy, a thousend butterflies in my belly... but I told him that I really love his voice, love the way he sings. Love his songs. That I think he's fantastic. I think the words got out all jumbled, but at least he understood me. ♥
And I think he was happy? He looked happy. GOD, HE IS TOO PERFECT! Like a perfect, living doll - but not like a mindless one, no, not at all. He seems clever, intelligent, kind, human. God, it's insane to write it like this, about a JOHNNY'S IDOL, that one isn't ever even supposed to meet. But it felt like he actually cared, and was happy that someone told him that they appreciate him, and loves what he does...?
Ahh, and then... god, this is almost too much. We stood by Massu for a while too, and suddenly... he was signing our singles? We were like 5 people, or something, I think? And Massu were signing our singles. And... Johnny's boys aren't even allowed to do so, so it was just so unreal, I didn't even realize what was happening...! Massu was SIGNING our Miso Soup singles. (THANK GOD I BOUGHT TWO, AND KEPT ONE IN MY HANDBAG!!) He wrote, "To Emma," and then he signed it, and god, soon Tegoshi also signed them for us... so I have a single here, at home, with Tegoshi and Massu's autographs. O___O
And as if that isn't enough... suddenly... we got to take photo's with them. At first we took one with me, Nymphadora, Sassy, Tegoshi and Massu. All 5 of us in the same photo. ♥
Then, it got even more insane, and we somehow took a photo with just Tegoshi. One doesn't get their pictures taken together with a Johnny's idol. It just doesn't happen.
But it did, and when I stood ready together with Tegoshi to get our picture taken... I think I did stop breathing sometime during the night, and this must've been when it happened?
I sound completely insane now, but I can't help it - this is just Too Much, Too Crazy, and I can't ever understand what I have done to deserve something like this in life.
When I saw the photo's a few days later, I couldn't believe it was actually true. It was just me and Tegoshi on a picture, and he was standing with his hand on my shoulder, and I hadn't even noticed that while we took the photo...? I can't believe any of this, still.
We talked some more with Tegoshi about some different things... I didn't say much, but I asked what he thought about Stockholm, and he said that he loved it, but it was so COLD! Especially at night time, it was very cold outside!
Then, only a few minutes after that, it was time for them to leave and go back to the hotel... they were to get up early the next morning, I think, to record a program for MTV's morning-show, and then they were heading back to Tokyo pretty much immediately after that, I think.
So after waving and saying Hej då/Bye bye, they were leaving... and everything was over all too quickly.
So, the day had ended then, and it was... I can't believe how perfect it was. It beat down all my expectations by being a million times more, a million times better.
And, it is actually true what everyone says, that they are even more beautiful in real life.
Now my thoughts are getting all jumbled together, and I'll probably remember more things after I've posted this, but... I guess I can always edit this post if so? Even though it's probably too long already. XD *dies* No one will ever manage to read this piece of rambly-thoughts and memories through, but I just... I have to do it like this. I have to have every detail written down for something like this.
To end this post, I just have to thank everyone who was there; especially the friends I spent the whole day with. It wouldn't have been the same without you - to share this with you all have been fantastic. ♥
